Burnie Arts & Function Centre reviews
17Despite the fact that this facility is still under construction, the Show performed by David Hobson and Marina Pryor was excellent.
Beautiful performance of the Snow Queen by the Victorian Ballet. Burnie Arts Centre hosts a broad array of entertainment with offerings ranging from short lunchtime concerts to leading rock and roll shows. It is a beautiful theatre managed by friendly and efficient staff. We love it and rate it as one of the key benefits for living in Burnie.
Wonderful we went to see a musical. The staff were friendly. My friend became unwell. So they helped her with water and guided us out to fresh air.
We attended the annual comedy night last night and had a great time, the staff were friendly and helpful the venue was great for this show. We have been here a number of times and it never fails to be a great experience. Well done to the staff and the volunteer staff.
Fantastic show. (human nature) but can't believe how cramped the seats (on balcony I can't speak for the rest) are.and I'm only 5ft3.
I know it's an older venue but I felt like I was sitting in the back of a mini cooper. No leg room at all
The venue is comfortable enough. A little on the cold side and seats aren't fantastic. Toilets are clean and canteen has limited items but priced well.
Crammed in like sardines. NO such thing as social distancing.
Came home with more than I wanted. COVID.
A good venue for an array of concerts artists & personalities a little cramped for space for bigger audiences but a all round good venue, toilets, snacks food & drinks available @ the venue adequate parking available in & around the venue, situated in the heart of Burnie, you will find it close to everything you need before & after shows!
A nice big function centre. Signs for events are displayed clearly as you enter the premises. Area is clean and hand sanitizer are readily available. Good catering. The rooms can be a bit cold though during the events.
Quaint little theatre. Performance i viewed was in the round. Uncertaint of layout of roofing structure but lighting design looked as though more rigging points would be useful within venue as there were several sets of 'winch-ups' taking space that could've been utilised as seating. Friendly staff. Nice space.
Typical Arts and Function centre, room was comfortable and tge COVID safety was first rate. Catering for Function was excellent with a nice range of food supplied. Room was comfortable without being too warm or chilly. Parking is only 4hrs which is a problem but at least parking is available with EasyPark app.
Just attended a great concert, croon put on a fantastic performance well worth the time and money. Well done guys
We visited the orchid show. Oh my goodness what amazing, beautiful plants. So many different size flowers and so many gorgeous colours. If you walked around the room of incredible displays 6 times which we did, you saw something you had missed, which made you glad you did go around again. The growers eyes almost sparkle when they are talking about their plants. We left with 3 different plants and hopefully our eyes will sparkle when we show off our blooms next season. Thank you Orchid growers for sharing your passion and making our day.enjoyable!
Attended the Burnie Arts & Function Centre for a conference. Andrew and his team were brilliant and extremely accommodating when requesting last minute changes to the set-up. The main hall was flexible and quickly turned around from function to dinner and back again the next day. The breakout rooms were also of a decent size and the team were flexible in the way they met the demands of the event. Parking is at a charge outside, so make sure you top up or use the easypark app to avoid a ticket.
A medium sized auditorium, well designed, comfortable seating with all seats having a good view.
Excellent production of Much Ado about Nothing spoilt by back ache causing seats and front of house facilities reminiscent of a school canteen.
