Bruny Island Raspberry Farm reviews
33Lovely staff and very yummy raspberry crepe and milkshake. Would prefer crockery over disposable plates and cups but understand we are in peak tourist season. Appreciate the effort that goes into these establishing these ventures
Brought the crepe it was so paper thin and you only get one, if you want a good feed don't waste your time or money as its only desert size snack and you will be hungry soon after, I feel it's just exploiting the tourists to make a quick buck, I went to the raspberry farm in Elizabeth Town and I was so full, sorry I will never be back
Worst coffee I’ve had in Tasmania. $9.50 for a scone which wasn’t even warmed. This venue has lots of potential but the food and coffee were overpriced and substandard quality. Not well presented either: paper plates and disposable cutlery. Definitely not worth stopping. Everything else on Bruny island is better than the raspberry farm.
Easily the WORST coffee I’ve had in Tasmania. Neither my wife nor I could finish ours. Think of a bad pod machine and go down from there. The “scones” were singular (at $9.50) just cut in half with a jam so sickly sweet it was almost inedible and served on a takeaway plate. No tastings, no toilets, no quality.
I feel for business owners because it must be difficult to attract a real barista. They probably depend on backpacking kids who don’t know much about coffee. It is a little sad, because Bruny Island has worked hard to try to build up a reputation for amazing food. This sort of experience might be expected in a shopping centre food court, but not in a beautiful place such as Bruny. Still, if they can’t meet a minimum standard, perhaps they should just stick to fresh berries?
Quirky statues on the fence posts. Very tidy & clean. Yummy glutin free melting moments. Had to take a star off as they don't have decafe. I also asked for a take away cup for tea & they gave me a mug. Did see a white wallaby
DISGUSTING service. Rude arrogant unkempt staff. Food is overpriced and horrible. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Friendly customer service, light and fluffy scones with tasty jam, delicious crepes, and yummy ice cream sandwiches.
Not much there other than a shop and a small garden. Has jam and sauces etc that looks good and worth purchasing but needs more to showcase!
Lovely farm with nice home made jams and sauces. Had the scones and a coffee which were good. The lady serving us came off rather abrasive and unpleasant unfortunately. Seems other reviewers have had a similar experience with this.
Scones were too expensive at $9 for one scone. Asked for butter (as I can’t have cream) and the reply was very rude. She had butter there as I seen her weighing it out while we were there. No communication with the clients. Not very accommodating to their clients. Won’t get my service again.
Best ice cream sandwich I’ve ever had, my wife loved the tank top she got from there. The sauces, vinegar and fresh produce was top class.
A little bit down a dirt road you come to the best tasting Raspberries ever they are so sweet and juicy, we had a crepe with Raspberries in it Raspberry sauce drizzled over the crepe handmade Raspberry icecream and fresh cream dusted with icing sugar omg too die for
Seriously, these were the tastiest berries I have ever eaten. Watch the fairy wrens and robins while you enjoy your berries.
Some of the worst customer service that we have ever experienced.
Website advertises berry picking but we were told 'we don't do that'.
No berries available other than one punnet of young berries.
Staff seemed disinterested and we waited for several minutes at the counter before anyone directly opposite us acknowledged our existence and then they told us offhandedly to check in the fridge. One wonders about tourist fatigue. Sunday 15/01/23
Could benefit from doing a barista course, selling $4.50 weak luke warm instant coffee with long life milk as “flat whites” is really bad service. Clearly from old reviews the issues haven’t been rectified. Taints the hospitality of Bruny Island.
Had the best rasperry crepe/home made ice cream. Such a lovely farm gate. Will be visiting again
Amazing raspberry farm, short staffed today, but did a fantastic job of serving and didn't let a customer go by without interaction. These family businesses are such hard work and huge compliments to all concerned. Just loved the visit from the white Peacock. Be back soon for some more of your delicious scores and home-made jam.
Hard to recommend. Ordinary food and coffee. Great setting but needs to improve layout, service and choice.
Wow! My husband and I visited your farm yesterday and were completely blown away with the setting and the food. Your homemade ice cream was my favourite and the raspberry crepes were so yummy.
Thanks for taking the time to chat with us yesterday. For an owner/operator making a business in your backyard, you should be very proud of what you have achieved! I strongly recommend visiting this place when on Bruny Island. Support this incredible small business.
Very poor service. After a long wait we discovered that our order had been lost and the last scones had been sold to someone else. Took a long time to process the refund because owner didn't know how to use the system. She clearly relies heavily on her staff, who had the day off.
Still not certain that our refund has actually been processed.
