Bruny Island Cheese Company reviews
56We did the beer and cheese tasting experience- all of the food was delicious and homemade, and the beer was unique and very well paired with the food. I would definitely recommend this experience!
Make sure to reserve a table, otherwise you'll be unceremoniously kicked off a table that was empty, but suddenly becomes reserved.
The cheeses are delicious and the service is very pleasant. It's worth a stop to try it and buy something.
Great tasting cheese. But let down by the sourdough, didn't get heat up properly, it's still cold in the middle.
Nice place to get something to eat and drink. The staff are great. The place can get busy in the morning. We would like to come and visit again.
Beat cheese and beer i have ever tried in the whole Australia.
Thank you for existing.
Beautiful location and delicious cheese. Had the tasting plate of beers along with two cheese platters. Plenty of food to make for a lovely lunch while sitting on the picnic tables outside.
Great location, excellent cheeses, beer and wine, a tad pricey but still very nice and a must see on Bruny:)
Great set-up and opportunity to try some local produce. Good introduction to how the cheese process works and how it combines so well with the beer making process. Cheese tasting samples and explanations given and chance to pair with beers made on site.
This is the perfect Bruny Island stop. Great cheese, bread and my personal favourite, beer. The stout was a great drink after a good walk to Cape Queen Elizabeth
Fabulous cheeses, artisan bread baked on site and craft beer, along with great selection of Tassie' s finest wines. A must visit experience on Bruny.
Staff are fantastic. We had the cheese board and treated ourselves to the beer tasting. Can't recommend it enough. Blessed are the cheese makers.
Cheese and beer.name a better duo I’ll wait.beautiful set up with lovely staff! The beers are matched with the recommended cheese.it’s like the food version of “the bachelor” but with a fairytale ending! Would definitely go back!
This bread and cheese restaurant is open early for breakfast in Bruny Island.
I had to wonder why the price of a toastie here was 15 dollars?
Its because they cook and make everything themselves including the fresh sourdough bread baked in a stone wall oven. Even the melted thick slice of cheese with freshly cooked real ham served with a side of homemade savoury tomato sauce. The place was vibrant and the French service was 5 stars.
An amazing place, very chilled atmosphere, and they have my two favourite things beer and cheese.
A must stop every time I visit Bruny Island (although I am obsessed with cheese)!
The cheese platter is, of course, delicious, not only for the cheese, but the sourdough + bread and butter pickle that’s included. And I’m a big fan of the baked otto.
You can also get tasting flights of beer or wine (if that’s your thing).
And do a cheese tasting in store - the staff member running this was incredible when we went!
Plus, the store offers a great selection of in-house, local and Tasmanian consumables - great to take home/for gifts.
Incredible cheese, beer and service. Cheese platter of 3 cheeses, fresh sourdough and pickles was only $28, beer paddle of 4 beers was $15, can’t rate highly enough!
AWESOME CHEESE AND FRESH BREAD!
I love it! Recommend Cheese platter one️And beers are good MUST try!
Fantastic warm greeting as we arrived.
The cheeses are so good it was hard to choose which to buy.
As well as the beer tasting to complete the package.
The Cheese company is a must on your to do list when visiting Bruny Island.
A huge thank you from a cheese lover in The Blue Mountains, NSW!
I've been Dairy intoleranant since my 20's & recently heard a podcast about intolerance being caused by the breed modification of cows to produce higher yields & heritage breed milk having no impact on human digestion.
Missing cheese dearly (cheese cravings/dreams), I researched cheese makers with heritage breeds & found Bruny Island Cheese & have taken the leap to test the theory with the Raw Milk C2. Result 1 week later has been NO ISSUES & a very happy cheese lover reunited with a favourite food. HUGE respect for your ethical approach as Cows should not be treated the way they are in the current industry. Smaller, thoughtful farms are the way to go.
