Britz Campervan Hire Hobart

It's a shame to be able to walk only on paved roads, you leave yourself with a lot of places to see. We had basic insurance contracted and they made us pay for another one. A basic van.

It was a great experience for our first time campervan hire! Would recommend to anyone around looking at hiring a campervan for their holidays. Only downfall was the beds were a bit uncomfortable but nothing major. Definitely will hire again

The van was nice and worked. We didn’t have any crazy issues getting our deposit back. However the staff was combative and misogynistic - I’d find a different rental company next time.

We picked up the rental van a day later than planned because we got back late from our day hike. The business was closed by the time we got back to Hobart, so we made last minute arrangement for sleeping. From the moment we gave our name the next morning, they were hyper aggressive and antagonistic with us - scolding us for being late…. We explained that we were in a remote area and didn’t have cell service until after their hours, and that we’d run into some snafus… im at a loss for why they were aggressive with us about that? We were the ones who’d had a rough night figuring out last minute accommodations because they didn’t have any after hours pickup options.

Then when we tried to ask clarifying questions about the insurance/deductive coverage to ensure our private car insurance would work - the man interrupted, loudly spoke over me and didn’t answer my question…. Which of course he didn’t answer my question, he didn’t let me finish my sentence so he didn’t know what I was asking. In a raised voice he said if your insurance company has any questions they can read our terms and conditions. It was completely unnecessary, unprompted, and obviously came from disliking women.

My husband dropped off the van solo, and encountered less combativeness tho it still existed.

Small potatoes: they “upgraded” us to a larger van because they didn’t have the one we booked in stock. The roads in Tasmania are narrow and winding, you want a smaller RV.

Our experience in Tasmania was wonderful outside of this interaction.

Great service. We hired campervans for 6 people and they were comfy and clean. It's a nice bonus to have an Indonesian staff attending to us (Indonesians) as well.

Amazing experience, absolutely loved the vehicle. Staff is very courteous and friendly and will go above and beyond to make your experience a memorable one. Will be back again to explore beautiful Tassie.

This rental is incredible. The vehicle was in perfect condition and had all the amenities I needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing me with tips and recommendations for Tasmania. „Action Pod“ was a great choice for two persons.

Easy booking, check-in and drop off. Team is friendly and are making it fast so you don’t waste your time waiting.

Hired a van, was brand new and in perfect conditions, allowing us to drive around Tasmania without a problem.

Great trip in the camper.no issues! Easy collection and drop off. Great trip around tasmania with lots of campsites available.some free some a small cost.

Van was in excellent working order, but design improvements are needed. There was very limited surface to cook on, no camp chairs which would have been nice, and a spot to connect the table top on the outside or kitchen area is needed. Otherwise we'll supplied and a great ride.

We hired a Motor Home for 10 days. Everything went smooth without any Problems. Would hire again.

Camper was nice enough, but the engine-side air conditioning did not work which did cause discomfort in our week long trip during summer. When I brought this up upon return, I was told that I must have had the settings wrong. I found this quite insulting as after more then a decade as a mechanic I am confident in my diagnosis and was made to feel as though I was a whining client on a Friday afternoon. I brought up other issues with the van but after inspection we were told it is fine and we are right to go. We did enjoy our first camper holiday, it was just a shame to leave with such a bad taste in my mouth.

Very functional van, felt very safe and comfortable. We managed to do most of Tasmania in 8 days - Bruny Island, Mt Field, Cradle Mountain, Maria Island and the East Coast, and Port Arthur. Would recommend!

Absolutely amazing! The van made our whole experience! We drove all over Tassie in 5 days! The all inclusive package helped us have breaky on the go and set up our chairs at any good location. The van is extremely spacious we had plenty of room to get dressed and had a great sleep in the double bed! There’s also a smaller table provided if you sit on the inside, it was such a good drive we loved every minute of it. Will 100% rent a Britz campervan again!

Vehicle travelled well, not too big for parking, comfy despite extreme outside variations in weather for tiny home, pleased we had a pillow with us though.
