The farm charges $20 per adult in peak season but please be aware the lavender is only bright purple in the last week of Dec and first week of Jan. If you visit in their peak and it is not blooming, they will still charge you, but they'll let you know at the gate in case you want to turn around and leave. Don't let the curiosity get the better of you - if it's not in bloom, turn around and leave. Edit: I most recently visited on Thu 25 January 2024.

MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHEN THE LAVENDER IS IN BLOOM.we went knowing full well.the flowers aren't due to bloom until December, but that didn't stop quite a number of very clear wannabe influencers sulking around looking miserable because they missed their perfect shot.chief a little cafe, very well stocked gift shop with very fair prices. Make sure you check in advance if lavender is in bloom!

Lovely place, we didn’t visit in the blossom season, but the field were looking great. Nice smell everywhere. The gift store have so many lavender stuff. Absolutely a 5 star experience!

THANK YOU Bridestowe Lavender Estate for your efficient service: your lavender oil is superlative and I shan't buy any other than yours in future. Both orders arrived safely, minimal packaging. Metal bottle a brilliant notion. <viktoria>.

2 nd time here. Not in full bloom like last time but it's still an impressive layout. If you want something spectacular, visit the full bloom.

Even though the season was “over” it was lovely to stop by and see the expanse of the farm and visit the distillery which has great information about the whole process. The gift shop has a lot to offer and all the staff were welcoming and very helpful. Look forward to coming back “in season” to see the purple majesty.

Yes it's touristy but for a good reason. I've visited the lavender fields in the French Provence and would say that these ones in Tasmania come pretty close. The scenery is absolutely stunning and a great place for photos. They also sell some lavender scented products - I highly recommend you to try the lavender ice cream; it's delicious!

A great place to enjoy lunch while gazing across the fields of sweet lavender. The Ploughman's lunch and the pumpkin soup is definitely delicious. We enjoyed browsing the lavender shop, with the candles beautifully fragrant, actually everything there is.

Wonderful view (and smell) in December and January, when lavender is in full bloom. Easy access, 10 AUD fee in 2019. Definitely worth a visit.

Recommend coming when the lavender is flowering. Although this estate is open most days of the year, there was not much for us to see as the lavender had already been harvested. On a plus note, the lavender ice-cream was very tasty and the grounds have beautiful oak trees that are lovely to view.

Food was yummy! Lovely & interesting products made from lavender. Disappointed that we visited when the lavender were not flowering. Would visit again!

We went after the lavender had been harvested so we didn’t really get to see the beautiful purple rows of lavender. That would be magical. Nonetheless there was still plenty to see. They have the old barn which shows the drying process and extracting of oils so this was informative. Walking around the field is really nice too and refreshing. The ice cream is a must! Lavender ice cream is a new favourite for me! Didn’t disappoint even on a relatively cooler than usual morning. Shop has beautiful little gifts you can buy but you only really need to go for the ice cream.

Lovely place to.look at but the prices in the shop was over the top, we have found this a lot in Tassie. Going for big profits instead of big sales, which leaves you with a memory of a nice place that's over the top with there merchandise.

Twenty dollars per head to take pictures of a lavender field, shop in their shop or buy food in their cafe. Distillery was closed. Ripoff, not worth it.

This place is amazing. Everything lavender. Lavender ice cream. Lavender tea. Lavender oil. Lavender soap. Lavender plants by the million. Friendly staff and great morning tea. Find out all about lavender from their friendly knowledgable tour guide.

I was surprised that I liked this place as much as I did, expecting just another retail experience much like any other. But no. This was quite charming and therapeutic. A gorgeous way to wile away an hour or two, and all to a colour scheme of lilac and lavender.

Nice to revisit Bridestowe. Apart from the garden, shop and cafe expansion, it still retains the old charm of the lavender farm with the 200+yr old oak in the paddock.
