Boltons Green Campsite reviews
13RV campground, water toilets are convenient, and Telstra signal is near wooden tables and chairs. Ice cream trucks also bring joy
Suitable for campers, but not suitable for hikers, because it is a bit dangerous to mix the tent with the car.
The holidays are very popular so get there early.
There is a faucet for easy access to water, which needs to be boiled or treated
The camp is on the side of the road, and the sound of passing cars and lights is very noisy. If you are a longitudinal walker on the South Coast Track, you can camp in the camp on the trail, about two hours away from the exit
Very beautiful place with best scenery and beach with shallow water with toilet and water facilities but there is no bin and some part of the site we cannot have a Camfire.
Amazingly peaceful and I can sit with my great great grandfathers "Richard Mott" and "Thomas Dougherty" grave and my family's graves at cockle Creek. I would do anything to be able to go back.
Very nice free campsite at Cockle Creek. We were there about 2pm and not many sites available so it's definitely a popular place and worth getting there early. Lots of midges and March flies though, so be prepared. The beach is gorgeous.
Beautiful peaceful beaches. Plenty of birdlife. Heaps of secluded, grassy camping spots. Decent water and toilet facilities. Great place to relax and enjoy the solitude.
Great feeling to know that it's southern most reachable corner of Australia/Tasmania, beautiful beaches and gets very windy
Excellent access to a wonderful part of Tasmania.
Trouble free camping.water (need to boil) and toilet handy!
Great location. Nice and green to camp on with a beach across the way and a lovely hike to Fishers point close by.
The drive from Hobart to Cockle Creek is a beautiful drive and can be easily completed in a day. Cockle creek and the whale lookout is a beautiful area. Whale look out is an easy walk, only five minutes from where you can park your car. There are other walks as well, they are somewhat longer and depending on the weather can be a bit tricky. There is also one walk where you have to time your walk with the tide. Whale lookout is right next to Boltons Green Camp ground, there is also a ranger stationed there as well. Don’t forget to pay your national park fees, we were in Tassie for 13 days and brought the two month option for entering national parks as we are going in and out a number of them during our stay. We did not camp, only a day trip, there are some nice picnic tables to enjoy your lunch and toilet facilities as well. There is good access to go down on the beach and walk around to the creek area. There are remnants of old timber mill and a lovely story about the ladies that ran the mill when the men headed off to war… it is a great spot to visit, the most southern part of Australia where you are closer to Antarctica than Cairns!
The campsite are not suitable for vans, and you have to camp next to the drop loo to get a flat site. Would not come back.
Beautiful camp ground, heaps of firewood and good selection of camp spots, very close to the beach
Beautiful spot in a very unspoilt part of Tassie! Good toilets and no fees Thanks Tassie Parks & Wildlife!
