Boardwalk Cafe reviews
22A nice place to eat with a diverse menu. The only thing I didn't like was having to get up and get my own cutlery and napkin.
Our evening meal was delicious. The buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing. Nowhere near as good as Launceston Country Club serves.
Take a break sit people watch relax with a coffee of a beer food smells are amazing the food is so good
Can't fault this place big meals well cooked and prices very reasonable. If I tried to say what to improve it would be the lining up to get drinks and food it makes it cramped for people moving around apart from that I could not make any other complaints. Thanks for an enjoyable experience.
Great friendly and attentative staff. Good simple menu with large servings.
Breakfast is basic for the price. But everything else is great.
This was a request for Mothers Day and what she wanted, she got.
I wasn't sure of what to expect and assumed that the prices would be a little more on the expensive side so I wasn't holding out much hope for a large proportion. At first, the prices did seemvto be up there on some choices but felt the Crispy Chicken Burger might be ok. To be honest, I was quite surprised at the amount of food I got and looking at some of the meals being served to other diners saw that you actually get quite a good amount for what you pay. My Crispy Chicken Burger (which I ordered extra bacon for) came with chips and coleslaw costing $27. I only drank water on this occasion so can't give a price on drinks. I was struggling to finish the meal off and it was delicious so ended up being grast value.
Being in Wrest Point Casino you xan expect all the amenities to offered and up to standard. Next time I'll try the carvery as you seem to get quite a lot of food for a very reasonable price.
The whole experience was not the greatest.
I had a chicken parmigiana which was definitely the worst one I have eaten in all of Tasmania. Chips were okay. Slaw was okay. The chicken tasted out of the supermarket.
Service not great. Quite blunt and usually like a sauce on the side to go with my chips and go with some of my parmi. I asked for a sauce on the side and swiftly got reprimanded by saying the sauce does not come with Parmi?
Was very unprofessional that you had to get your own water. We are not all alcohol drinkers
Would not recommend
Ordered the double b burger expecting it to be actual mince patties, instead I got processed junk that tasted the same as the cheapo bbq packs from Woolworths. Considering it was also 30 bucks. Huge disappointment
Great for breakfast lunch or dinner. Amazing view over the water. Buffet breakfast is brilliant and great value.
Went for a steak with friends. Overall steaks were nice but slightly undercooked. Medium rare requested vs medium-medium rare and rare results for both steaks that were of consistent price. Fries and sides were nice. Wifey found the peper sauce hot but lacking taste. Service was quick, polite and friendly. I feel I was on a cruise ship buffet restaurant (interesting). The view is very nice.
Good selection of food at reasonable prices.
We had the carvery roast and it was very nice.
Casual, relaxed, friendly, good food at reasonable prices, water views, one of my favourite places to eat in Hobart. Come alone or with friends.
Breakfast and dinner was great.
A fine selection for breakfast.
A good selection for dinner, service was fast and with a smile.
Absolutely sensational to see the kitchen staff working hard with a smile. Very quick from order to eat.
Quality was just fine. Coconut Curry was mmmmmmmm just super.
Definitely go here for no fuss food.
Basic menu at a good price done consistently well.
The place you eat when you can't think of anywhere else to eat.
Here with my wife to see my family (from Victoria) on our first visits I took my mum n wife and baby girl and had some coffees n baby chino for Bub… well baby chino was Cold milk from fridge with froth on top? Never know this is how it suppose to serve? Lady who took our order named was Diane I think, she needs to chilled out a bit… didn’t like the way she was talking to us while taking our order!
On our second visit yesterday, we book a table for 10 for lunch … food can be better…
fish n chips (fish was so bad n it was full of oil inside the batter) you can buy better fish n chips from fish n chips shops compare to what you paid here,
Wife n I ordered a coffee and both were just warm… it was not drinkable sadly… I wish there was 0 star Button!
Was great food and service! Specially a friendly young lady which her name was “ Chaonan”. She was super friendly, helpful and also professional! I wish every staff were nice like her!
I don't mind the food here but I really think the food should be locally sourced especially seafood almost everything seems to be out of a box it's ok but it's a bit like the old Coles cafeteria food so it is disappointing for a casino maybe look around other food places and keep up with the times staff are nice
I fine here regularly. The food is good and prices are moderate. There's a lovely view of the Derwent River during the day. The ambience is pleasant and staff are polite and service is generally quick. Good tip is to book a table during busy periods. It's a really great place to catch up with family and friends.
Casual, relaxed, friendly, good food at reasonable prices, water views, one of my favourite places to eat in Hobart.
Had their roast pork. You would not better anywhere. Similarly, the service was top notch. The head chef behind the servery was magic to watch. He was sooo well organised. Highly recommend it.
