Blue Gum Gallery reviews
10What a lovely well organised friendly shop. The owner was so helpful and like myself has a warped sense of humour. I got lovely gifts for my family back on the mainland. Prices were reasonable and very knowledgeable about the area. Very happy customer.
Would not give a star
This lady who works at the shop has it in for children yells at them to stop touching things. They lost a customer and by the looks of other review is a very rude person. Common sense if my kids break something I pay for it but never have I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Lady needs to get a life and learn social skills.
My three friends and I had a thoroughly enjoyable tie in this shop. The lady who is in charge is so funny. She had us all laughing and she was very obliging. She answered all of questions, recommended places to have lunch & even gave us a chocolate when we left. (Only when we promised not to come back!) Great fun!)
Shop assistant was very friendly and helpful. Directed and took me to items that I was looking for. Wonderful collection of souvenirs and handmade wooden items.
Stopped in to take a look and had some good items but had some very overpriced items as well. The lady watched everyone like a hawk like she didn't trust anyone. Service was poor, no hello or greeting. Even when purchasing some items she still didnt manage a hello.
Very good range and selection of souvenirs and pretty well priced, I would say cheap even. The lady behind the counter was nice enough to help me select some presents for my brother and his wife, walking with me through the shop. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for locally made wooden artifacts and just general touristic souvenirs at really good prices.
Great little souvenir shop. Beautiful huon pine pens at a very reasonable price. Ask the lady for a look at the beautiful huon pine fountain pen given to her as a keepsake. Other souvenirs were unique also reasonably priced. Supporter of local products and local artisans.
The woman who owns & runs this shop is not very nice. She was gushingly nice when we purchased some wooden items, but turned into a patronising & unfriendly over the top shop girl, when we asked for information about the artist, and was not forthcoming with any information.
She lectured on & on in a nasty manner.
So folks don't go there, we wont be back.
With out a doubt the cheapest and best range of souvenirs in Northern Tasmania. The lady who runs this shop is so friendly and helpful and hopefully I will return there one day. Thank you.
Had some really nice stuff in it; but, the lady who ran the shop was very rude and disrespectful. One of my little friends (12 years old) picked up a letter opener not knowing what it was and the lady said in a very angry tone “Be careful that’s a letter opener and it’s very sharp”. I get that she wanted him to be safe but come on, that was a bit rude considering he was just interested and wanted to know what it was. We were going to buy some things but after that our family said nope. So good job lady, you just lost some business. Will never return.
