Really bad service. We came early for a coffee and breakfast before the museum open. We had 2 adults 1 child at that moment and were waiting for a family of 4. They joined 2 tables but the sun directed to the seats and was so strong even though there were other places available. Ppl from the table near there even said that they are leaving so we can have the shade. The waitress said she would clean the table and set new table for all of us. She disappeared for a while then coming back said her manager would not allow. Then a girl came, not sure if she s that manager. She joined the tables while said they usually not join those tables (wfh, they are just normal setup not any special I can see) with a cranky face! I had texted my friends we were waiting there so I didn't want to leave but my husband used to be in hospitality management and he could not bear this type of attitude and service. We walked away and would never came back!

Very disappointing to be honest, our reservation was for 8pm we arrive at 8.08pm and were greeted with " oh are you the reservation that are late " the waitress then proceeded to mention that the kitchen is closing up so to order quickly. I told her that on the website there were availabilities for 8 and 8.30, she responded with " it was a glitch" what was further disappointing was that the menu that is on the website was not the same, we based our reservation on the menu advertised so was this a glitch also? To people that are in Launceston on a trip and want to make the most of it from what we experienced in was not worth it at all. In saying that the scallops we nice. Once again don't waste your time poor service with a menu that is not as advertised.

Third consecutive meal with Cafe Blue and sadly yet again a disappointment. All three time we had the Karachi Chicken and today was just so ordinary. The rice was wet and mushy, literally slapped into the plate. Launceston yet again delivers a plate of disappointment. So sad as we had brought international guests with us. Three strikes your out. I hope Don and Marlene read this as it is so not up to their standard!

Really happy with the service received from Blue Inc. Beautiful food and even better staff members, they were all happy and smiley. Would definitely go back!
Thanks so much for the lovely breakfast! X

Was close to the end of the day on Monday - public holiday - and service was acceptable, however the Coffee was milky and didn't taste like coffee.

If you buy a coffee, and pay the extra 15% surcharge for a Public Holiday, you expect it to be good. But this isn't worth it even on a normal day!

The small coffee, I got a Skinny Cap, my wife an Almond Latte, would need at least 2 shots to even taste like coffee. Not sure the beans they use, but it's weak coffee.plenty of other nicer places to get your caffeine hit!

Gave 2 stars as the staff were pleasant.

Visiting from Devonport and looking forward to a nice lunch out. Booked a few days beforehand after checking out the promising menu online. What a terrible disappointment. My Vietnamese beef salad’ was possibly the worst version of this dish I’ve ever had. The pieces of beef were mostly tender but overcooked (the beef should be charred outside, rare to medium inside and sliced from a single steak). The salad greens were indistinguishable from a supermarket packet mix (and made up around 2/3 of the meal - for $28!) but I didn’t find any cucumber or coriander. There was a curious minty taste that was more like a toothpaste flavour than fresh leaves. The lemongrass dressing was sour and slightly unpleasant. The combination was grim, tired, and unappetising.

My partner’s ‘Korean Fried Chicken’ was similarly disappointing and he said he’d prefer KFC next time.

While paying, I was asked how everything was, to which I replied ‘Really average’ but I wasn’t asked to elaborate. Perhaps they already knew what I meant.

The best coffee in Launceston.
Blue Inc was one of our favorite café in Launceston.
The staff members were friendly, further enhancing the welcoming atmosphere.
The food always were fresh, delicious and tasty
All in all, I highly recommend this café.

After seeing the sign in the entrance to wait to be seated and respectfully waiting to be seated, the tall young Blonde waitress seemed busy doing something with her back to the door whilst talking to another waitress a few metres away. I patiently waited some more, then she turned around, looked at me and turned her back on me and continued doing what ever she was doing.so I left.
Walking back to the car (I paid parking for this privilege), I smelt cigarette smoke and noticed a couple of cooks smoking at the back door of what I assume is the kitchen. Well that's a great look and I hope they wash their hands before going back in to prepare food.
Overall impression.unprofessional.

Good coffee, pleasant service and nice location. We had choc fudge brownie, unfortunately it was drier than cardboard and tasted similarly. A dollop of cream (not served) may have made this edible.

Not usual lunchtime menu. Great to try something different. Duck Curry and Korean Chicken couldn't be faulted. Friendly happy service.

Most of my dinner experience was perfect - 12 out of 10. Staff were excellent, however my main course of char grilled lamb was not. Lamb was very tough and both the lamb and Brussel sprouts had a distinct flavour of lighter fuel (too many BBQ briquettes maybe?). I could not eat it.

VALENTINES DAY!
What a sad excuse for a special event.
They made the night sound so magically on line but it was a disappointment. We sat at 7: 50 order wasn’t taken till 8: 10 entrees out within maybe 10 minutes. Ate our meal with very little flavour or to much. The dirty plates sat in front of us for 20 minutes while staff walked around either they are under staffed or don’t care. I feel like I could of got better service at the mersh. Truly ruined the night. Nothing special about it what so ever! If you can’t promise what you say maybe don’t open. We left right after mains. Meals came out quickly but was lacking was customer service, table clearing and overall service.

Great place to grab dinner in a relaxing atmosphere. After a small mix-up when seating us, things only got better, and better from there.
First drink free (beer or wine) nice selection of things on the menu amd well priced, only got a photo of our entreè which was lovely and when the mains came it looked so good I just had to dive right in!
Great place for a date night or gathering with friends/family.
Will be back for sure!

BEST doggie place in Launceston. 1 bed per table for the pups and of course their own water bowl. They will do a Puppachino Too. Meals a tad small for my liking.but they get away with it due to their Doggie Awareness!

Just went there for coffee. Took quite a while to receive our order. Table was cleared from last customers while we sat there but wasn't sanitised or at least wiped.was dirty. Coffee was alright.

Thank you to the team at blue. Due to weather we had to find an inside room for my 6 yo daughters birthday. They were amazing and facilitated our every need. Would highly reccomend.

Pushy service staff member, lost a food purchase with that attitude, strongest latte I've EVER had.not to my liking, would not buy another coffee here. Ample parking, pay with the Easypark app. Nice location, short stroll to Aurora Stadium. Opposite the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, located minutes from the Launceston CBD, free Tiger Bus runs regularly to tge city, or a 10 minute walk. Couple of gluten free cake/slice options available. Outdoor kind of really large enclosed room reaked of cigarette smoke, was absolutely freezing cold, the heating was eventually turned on, although did not thaw out, even though wearing 4 layers, others had coats and a blanket over themselves to try atleast be somewhat comfortable on a cold, wet, Tasmanian Spring day. Would be much better on a warmer day. The tram constantly going past gave you something to look at, and was interesting to see people utilising it, although of course it's quite noisy whilst passing, but great to see. Had dog beds there, and was dog friendly. Certainly not a comfortable, relaxing kind of venue, the outer part anyway.
