Blakes Manor reviews
18We stayed in the Georgian Family Suite which was warm, spacious and thoughtfully set up for self-catering. Fresh bread on arrival, the cheese platter and generous breakfast provisions were very much appreciated. The historic building's thick walls made it a quiet stay. Thank you Georgia and Peter!
Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Room was lovely with adequate heating, electric blankets, thick bedding and a fully equipped kitchen.
Only 'issue' was that the bed had a nice, solid pine headboard and footboard, which is irrelevant if you're under 6 feet tall (180cm). I'm 6'4" (190cm) and couldn't lie flat or straight and had frequent arguments with the footboard.
Again, more a 'me' issue than anything else, but be aware if you're very tall.
Otherwise, a lovely, lovely place.
Such a great experience!
Fresh bread, good breakfast and comfy rooms:)
Hosts were so friendly and full of knowledge, highly recommend.
A wonderful place to stay. The gardens are beautiful. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and the rooms are spotless. We appreciated the treats upon arrival including the fresh bread.
Great location, warm friendly hosts. Extras like breakfast and snacks. Everything we need.
Lovely accommodation in an excellent location. Rooms were spotlessly clean, breakfast was plentiful. A specialty homemade loaf of bread was fresh from the oven on our arrival.
Georgia & Peter were delightful and welcoming. Their knowledge of the local sights and eateries were second to none.
We will be back again. Highly recommended.
Thank you for an absolutely beautiful experience ️
Absolutely the best B and B we have stayed at. Exceptional service from Georgia and Peter, and every tiny detail thought of.we will recommend to all this Doraine treasure
Blake’s Manor is a beautiful stay and Georgia and Peter are amazing!
We have had a fantastic time in Tasmania, everyone is so helpful and kind and everywhere is so stunning. In saying that, Blake’s Manor is on another level. We still can’t believe how lucky we were to get the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful room and scenic location. Peter and Georgia are outstanding host and the fresh bread is absolutely delicious!
We will definitely be returning.
Surpassed our expectations! Loved the sumptuous decor of the 3 bedroom suite in the Convent annex. The breakfast hamper and freshly baked loaf of bread were so welcome. Georgina and Peter who own the Manor were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and gave us great advice about exploring the environs. The gardens were beautiful as well, and capped off our delightly stay.
Loved this place, the hosts were accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. Freshly baked bread on arrival, clean amazingly appointed period room. A slice of heaven away from the rest of the world.
Great heritage hotel, yummy freshly baked bread, super friendly hosts! Nice little town to have a great holiday!
The little extras that are given are very thoughtful. Hot fresh bread was awaiting our arrival, along with supplies for a beautiful hot. Poked breakfast.
Friendly and welcoming with such enthusiasm for the history of the area. The breakfast provided was fantastic with freshly baked bread, eggs and bacon provided the night before so you can cook it up yourself the next morning. Very comfortable bed perfect after a days hiking.
Georgia and Peter were wonderful hosts. The warm bread and friendly welcome were great on arrival, as was the bacon and eggs ready to cook in the fridge the next morning.
They were happy to direct us to what we were looking for locally which made it much easier for us too.
The room was wonderful, cosy and warm, and with everything we could wish for for a comfortable stay.
Location is great and so close to the town center.
We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone staying in Deloraine.
Great hospitality, the owners (while new) knew a lot about the area and recommended a few places for us to visit. Comfy bed, cute little rooms, and even freshly made bread! Across the road is the old chruch and, really, the whole of Deloraine is just gorgeous!
This BnB is in a nice quiet location, yet easy walking distance to the centre of town where you can get everything you need. We stayed in ''Gannons Rest' suite. The rooms were a little cold when we first arrived, so we just went out for dinner a little earlier and it was lovely and warm by the time we got back. It remained very snug all weekend despite it being below zero outside. The extra touches like port, chocolates, fresh walnuts from the 120 year old tree, and baked bread straight from the oven just made for a special weekend! Georgia and Peter were lovely hosts! We would definitely stay again.
Lovely warm welcome and very comfortable accommodation. Lovely little extras and a homely atmosphere. I stay regularly for business and wouldn't bother with anywhere else.
Really quaint convict built bnb in picturesque rural nth tas.
Warm and comfortable and host was lovely.
