Big Bargain Bottleshop / Foreshore Hotel reviews
59 The Bistri was very poor. I ordered the stir-fried vegetables in a sauce with rice. The vegetables were steamed or boiled and mixed with the sauce. The vegetables were a frozen medley. Very disappointing.
The plum pudding was ok but not high quality, and the custard it was swimming in was out of a box. Ice-cream but no cream.
Avoid the bistro at all costs, terrible food, order beef brisket and get a plate of nothing but fat with tonnes of gravy.
My experience at the Foreshore Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home.
The hotel's location, right along the foreshore, was breathtaking. I had stunning views of the water, and the convenience of being close to the beach was a definite plus. The ambiance in the hotel was relaxed and inviting, making it a perfect place to unwind and take in the coastal charm.
The accommodations were comfortable, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. Whether you're staying in a room or a suite, you can expect a high level of comfort and modern amenities.
If you're looking for a coastal getaway in Australia with stunning views, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend the Foreshore Hotel. It's a hidden gem that left me eager to return for another visit.
Went just for dinner. Food was tasty, service was good. The actual dining area is very spacious and well designed.
Meals came.out quickly despite have our group of 25 and another couple of big tables. Food was great and well presented
Terrible and overpriced veggie burger $24 for what looks like a frozen woollies $5 burger with McDonald's buns!
The best bar meals this side of the Derwent.
They really know how to grill a steak perfectly, and the pork cutlet if it's on that day.
Wheelchair accessible easily with disabled dpaces right next to the bar door.
You can also go to the lounge dining room for more options, but the bar meals are excellent and a few dollars cheaper and just the same.
My favourite is the pork cutlet which is not always available, followed closely by the T-bone - always perfectly cooked medium for me, and always tender.
Kitchen open all day from lunch, so you can go anytime.
My go to when I can't be bothered cooking myself
Great pub with a great view. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is good and very reasonably priced.
Fairly modern and tidy throughout.
Rooms were fairly spacious.
Comfortable beds with most basic items included, such as a refrigerator, tea & coffee, ironing board, etc.
Adjoining rooms are also available IF you need more than 1 room.
Recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay that's not too far from Hobart and fairly close to Port Arthur.
Nice big place for a few drinks plenty to watch on tvs and a carton at the bottle shop, and close to home
The rooms are really really neat and tidy, have all up to date facilities and decent enough size, plus a small little "yard/balcony" sort of area for each unit, has everything you need, a little pub/restaurant and the staff were as nice as you'd expect, I was staying here on a business trip, but the accommodations were above average for places I've stayed!
The new bottleshop is light, bright and not cramped. A great selection of booze and always great service
Address is deceiving its not in Hobart but Lauderdale.
Had some one we suspect 2 kids that hang out in the carpark all night on scooters bashing on our and other people doors a few times a night.
Room 3 door doesnt lock can be pushed open so check.
Meals were good staff in restaurant and bar were freindly.
Need to book a table.
We came along about 6pm on a Saturday night because we wanted a family friendly place with a playground to find over 10 empty tables all with reserved signs on them.
Haven't stayed at the hotel but have eaten in both restaurants and they are great. The bistro has a good selection of food. For finer dining there is the Altitude restaurant. Lovely helpful staff. Kids welcomed so family friendly.
Workers seemed to be a little unfriendly and a little bit surly towards customers. I won't be returning anytime soon.
.
On the premises side of things, well kept and clean. Stock was amazing and plentiful can't say that you shouldn't visit, just bring a thick skin.
.
By the way I was the bloke who paid with $100 dollar notes.
We attended the foreshore for a meal with the grandkids again my better judgement as the last time our meal was one of the worst I've ever had but I must say they have improved 110 percent the kids where very happy with their meals & so was i
Staff member upon check in was really friendly and understanding about our flight delay. Room was as expected, tidy and clean. Outside area was quite lacking and we felt it was a little overpriced. My partner left something in the room and a staff member was really helpful in getting the room reopened.
Rooms are close to a great breakfast spot and market.
Not Disabilty friendly I put their actions and consequences into a royal commission to do with abuse, exploitation, and neglect to do with people with disabilities. Highly unrecommended if you have a Disabilty.
Steak was a bit dry in the kids meal but the adult meals looked very stunning and were delicious 4/10
