Bellerive Beach reviews
23Great calm river beach. Dogs allowed off leash from 1st April to 31st Nov all day. Off leash until 10am Dec to March.
A great family area, dogs are welcome in some areas, lots of seating, walking/cycling track, beautiful beach, polished sea glass
Great family swimming beach, no waves. Great playground and bbq/picnic area sponsored by Rotary. In front of Bellerive oval and not far from shops and Kangaroo Bluff Fort. Now has platform to swim out to that is anchored in the water. Also has flat cement walking path behind the dunes.
It's a great beach, and I definitely recommend it. The views of the Derwent river are very scenic. But despite signs clearly saying no dogs allowed, many dogs were present along the beach, many with no leads.
Great beach to walk. Plenty of action on the Derwent River with sailing competitions and lots of people in swimming enjoying a perfect Hobart summer day.
Lovely famiky friendly beach with great parking and next to a good playground. Water was love and warm and the beach clean.
Don't get me started on the Bellerive Beach. It's AMAZING. Next time your in Hobart and on the Eastern Shore, give yourself a treat and take your fur baby or your hairy partner (as hairy is the NEW THING!) for a walk on one of the most beautiful beaches around. People walking their pooches are always willing to share a smile or a friendly word or two.must be something in the air.get yourself there!
I love Bellerive beach, there is alot of things too do, I lived across the road at Alexandra Esplanade for 17years so to me it's home.
Great play ground, tidy beach, outdoor gym, can be windy sometimes. Great to sit in the sun and let the kids play or walk the dog
Clean, easy parking, convenient, close by! Toilets and shop right there and huge play area for children.
Beautiful Hobart beach with a pontoon, clean water, sandy beach, BBQs and picnic tables, children's playground, adult outdoor gym and fish and chip cafe.
Excellent beachfront park with gated playground. Excellent for all ages, undercover seating, BBQ facilities and tables, water and toilets nearby. Exercise park right next door, large field for ball games and lots of parking (2hr limit).
One of the standout landmarks in Hobart. Bellerive Beach, on the eastern shore is a great place for a walk or in my case to swim the whole beach. Its also home to the Bellerive Parkrun, which is the largest parkrun in Tassie. A modern contemporary playspace makes it a great place to visit with the kids. The views back to the city and Kununyi are always changing and spectacular.
Well used popular beach.just hope the council can leave it as is without trying to build infrastructure around it, destroying it's natural beauty as so many central beaches go this way.
One of the great suburban beaches near Hobart city. Excellent amenities from change rooms to great eating places.
I swim daily, mostly clean. The many dog walkers are dilligent collecting refuse washed ashore.
One of the best playgrounds we have seen. There is enough activity, stimuli and challenges for very young people.
It's a good level beach ste for a daily walk: takes 50 minutes from one end to the other and back again. Bellerive end is NO DOGS but owners do not stick to. There is some parking both ends and on Park St which is where dog owners are supposed to enter the beach from. Council needs to check dogs especially during summer.
Regularly go here for a walk and excercise love the outlook and the views and the range of walking difficulties and choices that you can take.
