Beijing Restaurant reviews
15 Whilst I do actually feel quite bad about having to leave this review - the team are friendly and efficient- I had lunch here, slightly on a whim but I actually felt like sitting down at a table instead of a takeaway lunch.
Lunch menu outside is advertised as $12 small $14 large. Do note that these are takeaway prices only, although sign does not actually say that.
$18 for my lemon chicken lunch, can of sprite $5, and $8 for a wonton soup with three wontons is a total of $29.
I had no idea - a very expensive lunch for a student thinking she were having a cheap and cheerful chinese lunch.
It probably were bit tasteless but that is what salt pepper and soy sauce are for I guess. Not worth $29 for a lunch, sorry.
Food was terrible tasteless
took 1 1/2 to get our main course.rice took for ever after our main meal
the owner said cxl your meal if you want since you eaten most of your main course.terrible customer service. Avoid this place.never eat there again
I bought honey chicken I have never had anything like that in my life it was soggy and tasteless I feel it may have been microwaved I won't be back!
Beautiful authentic Chinese food. Service a bit slow when dinning in because they are very busy. But very fast for takeaway. Definitely worth the wait. The best Chinese from Devonport to Smithton. Atmosphere is great, just like a Chinese restaurant should be. Grace gives such personal and friendly service. Just love the food and owners, providing affordable quality food.
Had the most beautiful dinner, service great and friendly, ordered house specialty Cantonese beef, plenty of meat will be back
On first impressions of this restaurant it looked like a very old dated house. The restaurant could do with some major renovations though, Including doors heaters, etc.
The service was terrible. Very blunt and sharp.
Atmosphere pathetic
Value was the only good thing
Food was poor, the spring rolls did not have much flavour and the beef was very bland.
As an occasional Chinese food eater, this is the worst Chinese food I have had in Tasmania.
Nothing else to say other than I would not give this food to my dog!
Fried rice was just steamed rice with bits of ham in it.the dishes were disgusting.
Amazing service and food. Hot and very tasty. Not Bland like some Chinese places we've been. Service was amazing. Restaurant was lovely and clean. Prices are great serving sizes are huge. Def be back. Very pleased. Pop in and grab some takeaway or ring n book to dine in.
The buffet was lovely and staff bent over backwards to assist an unreasonable man who wanted a larger bowl for soup even though he'd had 2 bowls already. Fantastic
This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in my opinion
Your plate isn’t filled up with onion like other places
The plate is full of delicious meats and veggies with generous amounts of meat very good value
Always a delight to dine with Grace and Anthony owners well done guys excellent all round for many years on the coast
It’s our go to restaurant
Our family stopped at this restaurant for lunch, 2 other customers that arrived after us were served their meals within 15 minutes while we waited over an hour for ours.
It appears that takeaway meals are a priority over dine in.
One of the worst wait times in the Burnie to Wynyard area ordered 3 meals and has taken over an hour to be finished ready for take away.and on top of that the meals were undercooked and cold I will never recommend this
It was my first time to Beijing Restaurant and I will never ever be going back.
1st Cost. $50 for 3 dishes is ridiculous. And one of those was rice.
2nd Taste. Fried rice was bland. All it had was some peas, corn, maybe 6 prawns and some ham. Very anaemic in colour. Mongolian Beef had too much flour in the sauce that made it bland too.
3rd UNCOOKED CHICKEN. When I cut into the chicken from the Honey Chicken it was as pink as the prawns in the fried rice.
Never going to visit Beijing Restuarant in Somerset and would certainly never recommend it.
Our first time getting food from here and we will not be back.nothing like uncooked chicken to make you avoid the place.
Not bad, I am sure you will improve.
On first impressions of this restaurant it didn’t look to bad. The restaurant could do with some minor renovations. Including doors heaters, etc.
The service was average (meets expectations) Atmosphere could improve.
Value was very good.
Food was a little below average, the spring rolls did not have much flavour and the beef was nice but a little bland
