Beach Hut Coffee reviews
56 Googled this place as we were heading into Ulverstone. We had a craving for fish and chips, and we weren’t at all disappointed! The fish and chips and the side salad were all stunning! Crispy battered fish, crunchy chips, delicious salad! Myself and my family were very impressed by the food. Service was equally as exceptional. Beautiful little courtyard to sit in, hidden away from the wind.
If we are in Ulverstone again, we will definitely be coming back!
Thank you for such an exquisite experience.
This is the 2nd time we've come at 3.45. We were 1 of 4 families wanting icecreams.
AGAIN SHUT if you have a business advertised till 4pm stay open till 4pm. Not a sole here at 3.45.
So many unhappy kids, very bad for business.
Dont waste your time walking down to find it shut.
During our visit, we walk in but was not acknowledged by the staff who had seen us. Just doing about their stuff. Shortly after another family walk in. Staff then turn and asked whose next while looking at that family. We don’t like the vibe and kinda feeling discriminated.
Fabulous little cafe very close to the Ulverstone beach! Delicious lavender and raspberry sorbets great steak sandy and an amazing purple tea! An experience in itself! Yay
Lovely food, staff and vibe but not somewhere to go to for fish n chips. Spent $20 takeaway for a single bit of fish and a handful of chips. Small portion, would get better from your average takeaway shop. This place is good for those wanting a little
More class and variety.
I have dined at most places on the north West Coast of Tasmania and the food and drinks are up there with the absolute best. Major bonus that the prices are so reasonable. For the price you pay the food is amazing! Only problem, all be it small was an uncomfortable chair
Pulled pork and loaded fries were great.
Accommodating special drinks request.
Very pleasant mannered staff
The young man who served us was polite and friendly. Food was delicious and well presented. Highly recommend and will be back
Friendly faces every time I come in. Coffee is good and they’re always happy to make a pup cup for my dog after a nice run on the beach. Will be back to sample the food
Had lunch with my young fella and ordered the beef and bacon burger. The burger was great and the service was just as good
Favourite place to eat, so relaxing can dine in side or out in the fresh air.
Food is amazing, most staff friendly.
If the gardens were tidy it would be even more relaxing.
Waited a very long time just to get a menu and our food. When we finally got the food it was cold and soggy
It was a lovely 10 minute walk away from my hotel!
Food was amazingly affordable, delicious and decadent.
They’ve got great coffee with an even better atmosphere to eat in.
Staff were super lovely and friendly!
Highly recommended!
If you are in Ulverstone I suggest this place. Its really nice. Service is fast and good us great. Was nice outside on a sunny day
Very disappointed with my small piece of grilled gummy shark with literally 15 chips, the salad was the biggest part of the meal but thankfully my son gave me some of his loaded chips. My 5 year old got a bigger bowl of nuggets & chips than I did, my other sons burger was huge & was enjoyable, my mothers garlic prawn Cesar salad was very nice BUT cheap imported cocktail prawns used, not fresh local ones. Friendly service, best part was the ice cream but wouldn’t hurry back for a tiny piece of fish right on the beach that’s leaves you wanting much more than the tiny serve received!
Normally have had a good experience here, but ordered a large chips for $8, wouldn't pay normally any more than $4 for that size, extremely disappointed, especially the excuse of a potato shortage. Very poor.
Had a nice lunch with our mum who had been going to the place for 70 years and it's various incarnations. Menu typical Australian brunch/lunch vibes - eggs, avocado, waffles, smoothies, salad etc. Staff were friendly. Takeaway section out the front with ice cream and cake. Would def go again.
Excellent food and location, right next to playground and beach.
Would be 5 stars if there wasn't such a wait on food for dine-in when they're busy. They have a large number of, what seem to be, very competent staff but some perhaps a little inattentive to customers at times, as well as not quite urgent enough with service.
Top place for lunch at Ulverstone. Can both recommend the food as well as staff, and the ambience is not too shaby either.
We came in for lunch with the kids, great kids menu with more options than we usually get! Well priced, the babycinos are made perfect (just milk froth/foam, no dense milk). The Southern Chicken burger was *chefs kiss*. Beautiful setting too.
