Basket & Green reviews
29Really nice place to go for breakfast/lunch. We had the smashed avocado on toast with a side of mushroom and BLT, both were great. Also had Iced mochas and were very nice. Definitely recommend Basket & Green:)
Had brunch here a few weekends ago. We had an omelette and a big breakfast, both of which were really yummy!
Coffee was awesome and the staff were so friendly. Great location as well!
One of the male staff ran after us down the street to give us back some mail we had accidentally left behind- so lovely!
Good, tasty breakfast. Good pricing. Only feedback is the Cafe could have had more atmosphere be it decor or music. Otherwise friendly service! Thank you!
Good takeover, nice space, good coffee. Good hospitality. Keep up the good work guys, see you soon
The food was superb - the menu is small but with a good variety to choose from, including some unusual dishes - I had the potato rosti and the masala omelette and they were both really tasty and quite reasonably priced. The friendly and prompt service topped off a wonderful gastronomic experience and I would recommend Basket and Green to anyone.
Being unfamiliar with Hobart's breakfast dining options, we stumbled upon Basket and Green on a Saturday morning. The waitress greeted us with a gorgeous smile and found a table in the corner with a view of our fellow diners and a busy Elizabeth Street.
The breakfast menu is simple and enticed me to have a rosti and coffee. My partner had eggs and smashed avocado and coffee.
We were both delighted with our choices.
Prompt smiling service and fresh food for breakfast! That's a happy change for a city breakfast.
Hands down the best breakfast I have had out in Hobart. The pancakes are DELICIOUS! And the people are lovely. I highly recommend going here
This place is bloody awesome I mean everything about it is just so good, food awesome, service awesome, just everything is awesome.
Highly recommended.
Quiet little cafe away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still only a walk away from the city centre. Lovely staff and good food.
Popped in today for breakfast. Cosy and warm feel as you walk in. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and had smiles on their faces. Menu was good too, lots of options to choose from. Thanks for having us.
Came in to try huevos rancheros and was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious, exceeded expectations. I think I have a new favourite breakfast dish.
The service here was excellent! The two staff on today were so friendly and the food was delicious. I came in for lunch today and had a BLT. The hot chocolate was great:) so definitely recommend this place.
Great Pancakes and such cheerful service. Simply made my day. Great menu. Definitely will be back.
Right now, Basket and Green is dressed up for DARK MOFO.
On the shortest day, some enthusiasts go swimming; in the nuddy.
My sister and I found ourselves in the area, and decided that we would find somewhere to eat. From the moment we stepped in the door at Basket and Green, we were graciously welcomed! The service was exceptional. The decor was interesting and eclectic giving a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy the generous servings of spectacular food and thoughtful presentation. The entire experience was so memorable!
Coffee was good & the bread & butter pudding muffin was fantastic. Highly recommend trying it - tasted just like my mum's bread & butter pudding. Very friendly service too.
Went out of their way to make sure our dietary requirements were met. Really tasty coffee and food. Would recommend!
Fantastic experience. Family run cafe, very authentic and caring people. I could see that despite being very busy on Sunday, they looked after me and quality of food was excellent. We ordered Rosti and Ranceros. It was our last meal before leaving Hobart and it was a memorable send off. All the very best and I will be back when in Hobart.
We went to get breakfast at another place but they didnt have a high chair for my 16 months old. We were so welcomed by the staff at this place, the lady gave my baby some toys and made a huge effort for us. Our food and coffee was wonderful too. We will certainly be returning customers. Thank you
