Barnbougle Dunes Golf Links reviews
67Superb! Probably best if you just check it out for yourself, this golf course won't disappoint!
One of the best golf courses in Australia.
Friendly staff, amazing food and accommodation.
For all golf lovers must come once!
Challenging Golf in a scenic location. Given the isolation the facilities are excellent. The accommodation and the hospitality provided are of a high standard
Amazing place. Horrific when the wind blows, but the experience far outweighs the lost balls!
Heaven on earth for golfers.
We were here for a few days on our honeymoon.
The short course at lost farm is very clever - the forward tees allow for a beginner to top an iron and be on the green whilst the back tees present a challenge to the more keen golfers.
Massage facilities, a fantastic course, solid accomodation and the friendliest head pro in aus all equal a fantastic trip.
If you’re thinking about it - do it. Best trip ever.
Regularly play at Barnbougle. Dunes is a slightly better test of golf than the sister course The Lost Farm. Fantastic backdrop, and the course is always in top condition. Accommodation is not mind-blowing but more than adequate. The food and service throughout the resort is top notch. It's a little pricey, but it's worth the extra few dollars.
If you’re into golf, this is as good as it gets. Fortunate to have great weather while we were there.
Golf courses offer something for everyone and I would play there everyday for the rest of my life if I could.
Golf in Scotland at the St Andrew’s and Carnoustie are the only places I can imagine topping this experience for me.
Amazing views, tough course, but a seriously amazing track to go round. Worth the trip down from Adelaide.
Magnificent boys in pro shop are so much fun courses magnificent meal’s brilliant sports bar great
Wonderful design and layout however service and professionalism is completely lacking. There was no one running the 1st tee. The guys in the pro shop asked if I wanted to play as a 1, rather than insisting everyone play in a group of 4. Players were teeing off in singles and two's at whatever time they liked which meant the pace of play was incredibly slow. There were pairs of players using 1 set of clubs between them and playing off different tees. No course marshalls. No sand buckets so divots in collection areas everywhere. There is no water whatsoever on the course to fill your water bottle or wet your towel. While the design/layout may be in the top handful in Australia, the overall experience is more like No. 200
Best golf course I'll ever play on. Staff were amazing, everyone was super friendly. Would love to get back one day.
Such a strategic course and would love to play the Dunes again having had that experience. Hire set and cart were really good. Greens were fun but running slow.as the wind picked up on the back 9 I was feeling lucky to be on the wider back 9. Is amazing how course is just laid naturally over the dunes and the different tees much appreciated. Food at Dunes was OK and as was staying just out of Bridport was probably hoping for bit better amenity around course and clubhouse. For a total golf test however, hard to beat.
Two great courses. Weather was fantastic. Just a wonderful all round experience. Looking forward to going back in November (if the wife allows)
Great golf courses. Very friendly staff. Wanted a vegetarian option for me and my wife. The young lad at the bar in the dunes clubhouse suggested I speak to the chef. She prepared a Thai style vegetable curry with rice. Exceptional
An absolute pleasure to be able to play this course. Not a breath of wind the day we did. Can imagine it's a much crueler mistress on a windy day.
Beautiful peaceful outlook
I'm not the golfer but loved our experience and the restaurants are delicious
Amazing course but get your course management up to scratch. Waiting and waiting every single shot, not a course Marshall in site to speed things up. Very poor management
Firstly wonderful course and pro shop staff.
However after we finished our round at around 5.30pm we where refused beers at the bar because we werent staying at the course. 3 staff argued amongst themselves for a brief period over whether it was allowed or not before deciding its safer to refuse to serve us than to risk allowing us in as we werent staying. To be clear there was 1 table occupied at the restaurant and about 8 people in the lounge area (under 10% full).
One of my favourite places to play golf in the world. We had a perfect day out there. The vibe is very relaxed and welcoming.
Absolutely as good as people say and then maybe some. Stunning open fairways with top notch condition greens. Absolutely worth the trip here. Lost Farm was the most fun golf I've ever played.
