70 I had an amazing experience with this company. The staff explained all the requirements and things we should know perfectly and were nice people.
The staff who we gave the keys to in the car park (uppm returning the car) was also very nice.
Car ran well, so I have recommended the company to others!
Hi, I booked through an agent and they had Mitsubishi outlander displayed while booking but i ended up getting LDV. It turns out the agent and Bargain's sales page aren't in sync, and turns out its the agent who hadn't updated. So i recommend going directly in bargain's website and book to avoid confusion. Service was good. Pickup and return didn't have any issues. Would book again.
We rented a standard SUV to do a lap around Tasmania. The car was 2022 model in a great condition and very clean. We opted out of their liability waiver as it was quite expensive, we got a travel insurance instead. There was no issues when returning the car, I would recommend taking it for a wash and refueling to avoid extra charges in the end. Most importantly drive safely, a lot of wildlife in Tasmania after sunset
Friendly staff, quick and easy pick up and drop off. Location was convenient too, just after exiting arrivals, booth was there. Car lot is just outside to the right.
I rented a grey Kia Carnival with rego# K61VP for seven days upon return of said vehicle into the Bargain car rental parking lot I was approached by a Bargain team member who directed me to self-park the rental van.
Upon unloading our baggages I asked to have the van inspected in my presence.
The Bargain employee told me that was unnecessary.
An hour later and already inside Hobart airport, I received an email from Bargain informing me a windscreen stone chip had been found.
Although I purchased a third party car rental insurance based on Google search, I am extremely disappointed with the way Bargain is pointing this fault at me.
I suggest potential customers of Bargain to check your rental vehicle thoroughly before leaving the parking lot and take lots of photos.
I returned the Bargain rental vehicle an hour earlier than the expiration time thinking Bargain would do the physical checking in my presence.
Note: There was at least four Bargain staff on the parking lot who were free to inspect my car rental right then and there. In short, they weren’t busy.
Great service and definitely the most busy of all the outlets here. Staff, we’re knowledgeable and efficient, our car was easy to locate and was nice and clean upon getting in. I’d recommend the mid size suv
Easy pick up and drop off. I got a clean and quite a new car. The car is beautiful and everything is in good working condition. Fyi, I used the full coverage insurance for the peace of mind
Good value, but I will never drive an MG again no traction control and cheap tyres not a good mix on wet roads.
I've used Bargain in Hobart a few times and they are always so friendly, efficient and accommodating.
We picked up our SUV at Hobart Airport. It was clean, in good condition, and it performed well for our 5 day rental. We were very happy.

One of the best rental car experiences we’ve had. Great car and exactly what we booked, and the service was fantastic – when we’d already returned the car at the airport and got a call from the motel that we’d left something behind, Bargain we fine for us to get the car again and rush back to the motel to collect the item! Really great of them.
Picked up a car that required a rear facing baby seat suitable for a 7 week old baby (only option when booking was 0 - 6 months, no place to out specific requirements). When we got to the car, which we had to wait for as it wasn't ready, the car seat was basically just a shell. There was no padding, no baby insert and the car seat was not secured properly and had been wedged in with the front seat to make it appear sturdy. Not to mention the fact it was filthy and made the whole car smell. When staff at the counter were asked about these issues they were quick to refer it to their manager which we appreciated. Unfortunately said manager couldnt be bothered to come and speak with us as he was apparently 'busy' and 'had a lot to do'. We then tried to seek a solution at Baby Bunting where their trained car installers didn't even want to touch the car seat due to their policy of reinstalling an unsafe car seat. We ended up at Bargain Car Rental in Hobart City who then had to rectify the issue with a new car seat. The car seat Hobart Airport provided us was unsafe for our child to travel in and they showed no duty of care. If you can not supply the correct items they shouldn't be offered. Absolutely disgusting service. Only gave 1 star as the kid at the counter was as helpful as he could be. Will definitely be making a formal complaint with Bargain Car Rental head office.
Service very good. The small MG car we hired was affordable but the cost of larger ones a bit eye-watering. The car was reasonably lively, automatic and easy to handle. (I recommend automatic as there are lots of tight bends and inclines meaning lots of gear changes). The car seat was rather worn and a bit uncomfortable (48,000 on the clock). The USB socket didn't charge my phone and the radio on-off switch did not work. Otherwise all good. I reported the faults on return but the staff didn't seem to note them. Don't fall for the 'pay in advance for us to top up the fuel cheaply when you return'. You are not refunded for any fuel left in the tank. Also, bring slapped with a potential fixed charge of 5,000 dollars for any minor damage - which would then have to be reclaimed from the insurer - is nothing short of abuse - hence the low score. As a general point of experience, I would not hire a small car again to travel long distance around Tas. The roads are good but uneven and it becomes quite tiring in a small vehicle. Booking holiday arrangements is complex and time consuming: having to read the small print of hire car conditions to identify unfair terms is not my idea of a good time, hence my irritation. - BCR please note. I will not use BCR again, cheapest is not the same as best value.

Good service, reasonable car, competitive price, but still very expensive ($2,000 for 11 days for the smallest cheapest car in Hobart)
This rental company definitely does have one of the cheapest options for rental cars… but at a significant cost. The service was very disappointing, we given an ETA of 20-25 minutes, and I can confidently tell you that we had been waiting for over an hour to get our car. The car had spiderwebs on it when we received it. It’s definitely more worth spending a little bit extra on a nicer rental company unless you have hours to waste.
I booked and paid for a rental online. Came day to pick up get hit with well now you need to pay for insurance ect

After missing my flight paying for another 3 tickets then this I was just done!
Returning: I’d had no time to fill up, so had to accept I’d get a invoice to pay for what it would cost to fill
The guy then tells me they charge $4 a litre! By this time I just had to accept it and just get on flight
The baby car seats I rented where fitted tight so couldn’t adjust straps for children
All of the Flights out of Tullamarine to Hobart were delayed due to power outage. Rang the call centre and was told they would be shut and unable to pickup pre-booked car.
When we arrived Sanjula C was at the service desk staying back after hours to assist the customers. Very appreciative of his effort to get a lot of people out of trouble.
