Such a great place to stay! Staff were amazing and the room had everything we needed. Would definitely come back again.

The people running it are extremely nice and there’s all kinds of little touches that make it a little different from your average motel. The location is great - in a residential area but just a few blocks from the ocean, the river, and downtown. The enclosed pool is delightful - warm, private, and lots of towels provided.

A nice place to stay. Room had been recently renovated and was very comfortable. Having a microwave and some plates and cutlery in the room was very convenient.

My go to whenever I am overnighting in Devonport. Clean rooms and facilities, friendly service and nice and quiet.

There were only positives for our 1 night stay at the Barclay. Sparkling clean, plenty of space for our luggage, comfortable bed and pillows, proper kitchenette with 2 burner stove top, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric kettle and toaster and well kitted out with cooking utensils, crockery etc, with a dining table with comfortable chairs. It was nice to wake and be able to prepare breakfast with a complimentary selection of the tea or coffee available. A smart TV is provided in both the living room and the main bedroom. Nice to have the toilet separate to the bathroom with plenty of towels and a selection of toiletries provided. Parking was in an allocated bay at the door to our accommodation in a quiet location, so no lugging of luggage any great distance or searching for parking. This was all for what we considered a very reasonable price. While we did not get a chance to take advantage of the heated swimming pool, it looked amazing. It was an absolute joy to finish our Tasmanian sojourne at the Barclay. Can only recommend.

Very clean, beds were nice a comfortable. Everything you need for a night or two. Basically equipped kitchen enabling you to cook a meal. Lovely and quiet!

Good for a couple of nights stay, especially room with renovated bathroom. Location OK, close to the Bluff and reasonably close to the Ferry.

Great location. Spotless Clean and spacious rooms, very well appointed. Spotless on-site laundry so handy on a driving holiday. Staff very accommodating. Will re-visit

Some of the nicest staff we have encountered on our Tasmanian holiday and the rooms were so clean. They provided us with a cot and linen for it that was all set up when we got there, and made our lives alot easier. I regret not bringing ny bathers, the pool loomed amazing!

The most lovely people. We had a studio which had all the cooking things you need. It was in a great position in town. Just really nice comfortable. Lovely just a brilliant place

We (family of 3) have just spent 4 nights in a 3 bedroom executive apartment, very clean and plenty of space inside. Cheery and helpful staff, pool and grounds kept tidy and clean. Will definitely stay here again

We had a wonderful stay at the Barclay Motor Inn! Off street parking, clean and neat rooms, lovely linen/towels, WIFI, a breakfast menu, a well stocked kitchenette, an undercover heated pool, tennis courts and incredible customer service. We were pleasantly surprised by this motel and shocked to see any sort of bad review! We can't thank the owners enough for their generosity and will definitely be back! Nic, Jess and Grace

This is a back-street delight in Devonport TAS.
THE ROOM WAS LARGE, well set up with a kitchenette in ours, clean, parking right outside; and, there is an indoor pool in the complex. The Mersey River is a short walk away, for a pleasant view of town, or walk right along to town.

Perfect little gem, clean rooms, though some bathrooms are dated but clean. Family rooms, standard and studios. Very good amenities and friendly staff. Close to CBD and waterfront.

The rooms were spacious. The Queen bedroom was good and the bed was comfy. There were enough wardrobes and TV. In Kid's bedroom, there were separate beds and wardrobes. The kitchen was spacious, enough utensils were provided. The fridge was big enough. The living room was spacious and the sofa was comfy. There was a separate sofa bed. Also, there was a dining table with 4 chairs. The wifi was not working properly and was told that there were some technical issues. It continued for 2 days we stayed. There was a pool but was not heated. There was a sign mentioning that it has a technical issue. It is close to the city and the port. Overall, value for money, and recommend it.

Great place and excellent hosts. Clean room and very comfortable. Water pressure was awesome. Walking distance to a local pub for dinner. 5 min drive to the Spirit of Tasmania.

Very nice motel. Room was spacious with a well fitted out kitchen. Rooms were pretty quiet. The pool area was excellent but there was an issue with it when we stayed. Sounded like a short term problem

Our room was great, clean and all the features you want when travelling. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful. Will be going back, be sure to book ahead!

Nice pleasant staff, clean rooms. Good room service. Breakfast only with pack lunch on request. Need to go down the road for dinner. Heated pool is wonderful
