Banjo's Bakery Cafe reviews
39 This bakery is obviously a chain but not all places are the same in terms of service.
Every second cappuccino is a failure (no foam) and they even forget your order.
It’s a shame because the pastries and savory items are incredibly good. The bread is also real quality bread…
In terms of toilets, an effort could have been made…
Blonde woman with the pony tail was rather rude today. Food and service usually good. Decent place to stop if you need something to eat on the go.
Stopped here on the way back from Hastings caves for a late lunch and we weren’t disappointed. We ordered cauliflower and cheese pies which were amazing the near pies were really nice. My family and I finished off with some cakes. Can highly recommend the tarts. Service was very friendly and helpful a must stop if your out that way.
4 workers got a coffee on the public holiday from here it was way too hot terribly made temperatures should be checked when people are drinking -so will never get coffeee here again
The lady doing the coffee was extremely rude and unprofessional. You should not be in the customer service industry.
Stumbled across this bakery for a late lunch / what a find. The operator was extremely engaging and generous with his time. Super fun and excellently themed. Unique Tassie business.
I was told to try their Scollop curry pies and cauliflower cheese pies, OMG, bloody awesome.
Hot chocolate is great as well.
I must try all their pies types now.
Absolutely fantastic great sausage rolls and pies will definitely pay them a visit again when in Huonville Tassie. Yum.
On holidays and dropped in for a quick bite. The food and coffee was great and the staff were really friendly.
Loved the vanilla slice. Firm custard and patry, sticky icing. Enjoyed the flat white coffee whilst sitting out the front. Less enjoyed the noise from the traffic, be nice if it was either less of it, or it moved more slowly. Next time we'll ask for our two items to come in the one cardboard tray to reduce waste. All in all, Banjos we enjoy in our visits!
I visit the place on a extra hot day asking if they could give me some ice (I was willing to pay for it), cashier didn't know of that was a possibility and has to call someone else, then she said that they are running of ice, the shop wasn't even busy and just in front there is a petrol station where to bought some ice. Poor costumer service
Went there yesterday, the assistant was friendly and polite. I had the Raspberry House Cake, my favourite, it was delicious, much better than the Banjos near Salamanca Place. It was bigger with more filling and raspberries than the other store. I also noticed the blueberry ones looked better. We also had pies and coffees, really great!
Stopped in for coffee and hot chocolate today. 12/6/ 2021. Very nice drinks but while we were waiting a lady slipped and fell on the very slippery, very wet tiles at the entrance.
When I brought it to the attention of "the manager" he wasnt all that interested at all. Said they were getting some non slip tape, but was too wet ATM to apply it. When I suggested that someone needed to but an anti slip mat from the hardware store because the next person might hurt them selves badly, I was told " I'll deal with that when it happens".
Bought a Chicken & Avocado pita. I asked to be cut half which did not happen. Also, the taste was bland, no salt and very little avocado: (
Great variety of savoury and sweet goodies, friendly staff, clean surroundings and efficient service
Went in for a take away coffee for the first time in ages. Sarah made my coffee and she was so bright and bubbly. Nice to see someone so happy while doing their job.
Now a Banjo's convert - fab food and service - another fantastic curried scallop pie - so good!
Best cauliflower and cheese pie. I've had them at a few Banjo's, but the one at Huonville this week was incredible.
They made a great large late takeaway for $5.30. The temperature was perfect, not too hot and not too cold!
This is my preferred bakery in huonville, there really isnt any quality bakeries or cafes for that matter in this area. The spinach and ricotta rolls are usually my go to. The party pies and sausage rolls really dont do it for me, the quality of the meat isnt that great. The plain croissants are also yummy, gotta watch myself! It's strange though that they don't offer just a plain tomato and cheese toastie on the menu, each time I've asked, they have had to remove the ham from a ham, cheese tomato toastie and I wasn't impressed to still be charged for a 3 fill toastie instead of 2 fill. A couple of occasions too I've ordered takeaway drinks and the cup hasn't been filled up properly so again paying for a regular to receive a small or a large to receive a regular? Some of the staff seem super disinterested and indifferent, they do work in customer service but can't even smile or ask how you are, I leave wishing them a wonderful day which then prompts them to reciprocate. There is one super vibrant girl, brunette with lovely big brown eyes that is always polite and engaging, she is the only reason why I still go there from time to time.
