The young guy working there with his hair tied up up the top looked like he was falling asleep on the front counter, yawned several times no customer service at all
Clearly he doesn't want to work on a Sunday morning

Bad service and a don’t care service, had to ask for butter to put on buns and was told we don’t do plates need to lift their game.

Food is tasty, coffee is made perfectly. Staff are friendly.
Great place to catch up with friends for a coffee or a pie

Great little bakery chain that offers well priced pies, baked goods and toasties. It reminds me of a Greggs in the UK, something that mainland aus is severely lacking.

Why is it a thing that customers have to carry drinks full to the top over to get their own lids? It seems a great way for customers to get burnt. Especially the elderly with possible shaky hands. Also, bake goods always seem to taste like they have dish liquid in them. Disappointed.

Got a four pie deal so I could try a few flavours an I was absolutely disappointed.first of all when did ya ever have to get a bank loan to buy a pie the special one was nearly 9 dollars by its self an the flavour of them was bland an very disappointing.can't believe I used to love them

Food was great. The Tassie soft drink was really nice. The Barista was under pressure but he gunned it, he did well.

Food is tasty, coffee made perfectly. Most of the staff are friendly (a couple of them seem to have a bit of an attitude).

Usually a bunch of kids working who have no understanding of urgency or professionalism.always talking amongst themselves and not worried about providing a decent service.experienced better at other banjos stores.

Had a not so great experience
Food was overcooked and sandwich was dry and went in bin

Came in before my shift so early morning and ordered what I always get, a ham and cheese toasty and a small hot chocolate. Unfortunately the girl who made it, who I have never seen before, didn’t seem to care and that reflected in the food. My hot chocolate like always was delicious but unfortunately my toasted cheese was anything but. Not only was it cold, I suffer from too much anxiety to go and say anything. I understand doing a morning shift can be hard and that’s another reason I won’t go and say anything.

5.30 am and I wanted a coffee to kick start the day, I learned Banjo's is open from 5.30 AM! Yes, plus a lovely woman serving behind the counter, a wonderful coffee and catching my eye was a bacon and egg toasted sandwich. No i wasnt hungry really, but it looked good and it was not a huge thing. Perfect way to start the day, all was quiet and calm, unlike later it the day when it gets busy. Thank you

The bakery's scallop pie is tasty, they normally come out like 9 am each morning and there will be a fresh batch during 1-2 pm. The food was also exceptionally well cooked. The vanilla slice was tasty and not too sweet. The whole place gave me a historical feeling. The place was also very clean and the mini Hawaiian pizza was kinda small but still it is very tasty.

I have ordered a potatoe pie and a blueberry and apple danish. The fruit on the danish were off! The pastries were old and inedible.

Despite missing out on the scallop pie because I went too late (it would have been my second one for the day btw), the cape grim beef pie and sweet treats were a real winner with the family. A huge thanks to the lovely Jacinta for serving us and a super special mention to Holly who was exceptional in helping me with the drinks (we had a good chuckle). Great customer service overall - true service with a smile

Today, Anzac Day, 25 April 2022, after the Dawn Service in Launceston my family were looking for somewhere to have breakfast and a coffee. Whilst not a lot of cafes were open, Banjos Brisbane Street was. We noticed a people line coming out the door but decided to wait to be served. There was one young female sales assistant serving. What a cool, calm and dedicated person she was. The queue was patient whilst she took orders, dispensed food items and also made the coffee on her own. She did not get flustered and she had a great system going whilst maintaining her composure. WHAT AN ASSET to her employer. She was cool under pressure and served everyone in a great manner. She deserves praise and a raise. It is just a shame I did not get her name.

Waited for 5 minutes to be served & I was the only one waiting, just to get 2 Luke warm coffees, terrible service.

One thing Tasmanian does well and that's bakeries and this one won't let you down.

With a huge range of delicious pies, cakes and slices to choose from.

Scallop pie was really good and worth trying.

Great dining area to stay and eat or takeaway.

Came in for breakfast and was sold burnt food, took it back and was offered to swap it, I said all the food is clearly black and burnt. The attendant agreed yes most likely so gave me a refund but left all the burnt food in the cabinet to sell to other poor customers! Disgusting!
