Banjo's Bakery Cafe reviews
26 Great quality pies here, love the cape grim beef range, though they don't display the prices which i find a bit dishonest.
Coffee is lacking dimension. In some ways instant coffee has a more nuanced flavour. I recommend getting your coffee elsewhere then dropping by to pick up a pie.
Staff are mostly quite friendly but young fella has absolutely 0 customer sevice skills, don't think I've even seen him smile or heard him say anything before even when he's the one "serving" you.
The pies are the real redeeming factor of this place, hard to get a good pie these days so i still give it 4-stars.
Comfy Cafe for having breakfast, brunch and lunch.
Some pies and pastries such as bread always freshly baked, and coffee and chai are just perfect to serve, the staff are friendly. Recommended
It’s a shame they’re serving goods in only takeaway cups and containers.
Very poor waste management/system.
On the bright side, coffee was tasteful - one start!
Great bakery.good range of pastries and pies to choose from.don't walk past.be tempted to wander in and enjoy.
The products I bought were of good quality and yummy, but.
The salesperson didn't know what's in the shelve and what's his sortiment. And the two large coffees I ordered, came out as normal size ones. Additionally he had an issue and threw the bags of purchase in a snippy way onto the counter. Not a good service
Banjo's: Located in Devonport, Tasmania. Clean & Tidy. Polite and Professional Customer Services. Offering Coffee, and cold Beverages. Food is Freshly Made on Premises. Famous For its Scallop Pies.
I LOVE banjos, every single time i go the food slaps and the coffee hits right where you need it to, workers are extremely friendly too
Just another Banjo Bakery Cafe! Peaceful and clean, popular but never over crowded. Friendly staff, nice indoor and outdoor seating. No complaints.
Cheesecake was wonderful; the rest of the pastries and baked goods looked really spreading too. Coffee was, however, served in a takeaway cup and tasted far from a proper artisan coffee. Hence the 3 stars.
Went into your store today but your staff were more worried about phone orders then the people standing in front of them! Very poor service. Will not be spending my money in your store again.
Had the best plain meat pie I’ve had in my entire life today and to top it off, 10/10 service. Couldn’t be better
Food is still reliably great. You used to serve our pies with a side salad on request so my kids could get a proper healthy feed. Dog loved your sausage rolls but sadly the mall is no longer a place i go much as its just not so nice since they took away the trees and play equipment and told the furkids to stay out. I can't even ride my bike through it. The place feels so lifeless. I wonder if the foreshore development will be more community inclusive.
Lovely potato pie, but do have a spoon and plate on hand. As it's filled to the brim of yummy mince and spills out after first two bites.
The coffee is very good, the cakes, pastries and pies are even better. The staff were spot on, prompt, helpful and friendly smiles. Do yourself a flavour, don’t miss Banjo’s
Very disappointed that the staff don't know the difference between pouring cream and thickened cream when ordering coffee.
Okay so Banjo's is a state institution. Everyone knows it and everyone has eaten there at least once. If I was rating food alone it would be 5 stars for pies and pastries. However at this branch there are ALWAYS pigeons inside. Two flew out as we walked in today and there was actually parents with their daughter in a high chair feeding a pigeon in the back corner of the seated area indoors. And it's always like this. I have no clue how they pass health inspections. It's disgusting. But despite this, the store is always busy and pies are good.
Friendly staff. Great selection of bakery goods. Amazing 'cauliflower & cheese pie' and delicious 'scallop pie'
Lovely and warm inside on a cold rainy day. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Was served within a timely manner.
Banjo's is always one of my go-to food places as soon as I get to Tassie. My opinion is they make the Best pies in Australia. And being that it is my opinion, then I am right, so Congratulations Banjo's
Top cafe for a quick bite to eat. Had a beautiful chicken and avocado panini with decaf almond coffee. Coffee was beautiful, almond milk makes a great coffee for vegan or dairy intolerant people. Will be back.
