Bakery & Cafe – Banjo’s Rosny reviews
11Just got a coffee here thismorning, it was the worst coffee I have ever had at a Banjo's store and I have them regularly around the state. Sorry but you need to pick up your game Rosny
Vanilla Slice is a very volatile substance. When done correctly, it is the slab of heavens. Unfortunately, this bakery's slice fell short.
The pastry was slightly cakey, although flavour-wise not too bad. The texture of pastry should be flaky, crispy, and have a nice crunch but unfortunately that wasn't there today.
Custard was the biggest let down. Unfortunately the flavour wasnt there today, lacking the all-important vanilla flavour. The consistency wasn't classy, although it did hold its shape surprisingly well.
Now the highlights. The icing on top had a lovely flavour, that of condensed sugar. Although very sweet, it wasn't overpowering at all. The chocolate drizzle on top added a little kick of flavour that was needed to cut through the sweetness. One recommendation I would suggest is to reduce the amount if icing on top, as to allow for a cleaner bite through.
Overall the vanilla slice is a 5/10.
I go to most banjos before work, Rosney banjos product is well below par, looks like trays don't get cleaned as bread and rolls are dirty on the bottom of rolls etc, no volume in product and cafe left dirty.toilets are dirty before 7am as Baker's use them over night.
Someone will get sick if this banjos doesn't clean it's act up as it's been like it for along time.
Nice pies but the eating area a little messy and not very clean. We ordered food to eat in and the food was handed to us in paper bags and the drinks in takeaway paper cups.
I waited for my tea and said thankyou and the barista who pulled out his phone straight away and as soon as my toastie was ready I went to thank the woman and she was just looking down at her phone at the register right in front of me. My toastie was cold inside. I always go to thank staff but they were glued to their phones.
Ordered a skim coffee 10.40am today and was full cream milk, had an asthma attack.if someone asks for skim milk there is a reason for it!
Thanks very much for that!
Worst service ever, ignored by staff for 5 minutes and walked out to across the road in east lands and served instantly at muffin break, teach your young staff some service skills
Coffee maker of Rosny today has got lot of attitude she doesn’t even know how to greet customers. This is the second time she treated us very badly by Serving us coffee. She should be replaced.
Thanks
Staffs doesn't look happy today. And my hot chocolate was bad one. The last time I went here was good nice muffins and nice hot drinks but this time very disappointed.
Friendly staff that go out of their way to make it a friendly environment to sit and eat
Great coffee food is always fresh
Worst coffee in Hobart. Staff don't seem happy to work here so shouldn't expect anything nice I guess.
