Bakery & Cafe – Banjo’s Claremont reviews
21I just purchased an egg sandwich and have got home and the bread is so hard I couldn’t eat it, to pay 8.00 for a sandwich that I can’t eat is terrible. This is the first time it has happened but it has put me off buying sandwiches ever again
Never a line and always have what I want. The Cauliflower and cheese pie is THE BEST! There is also a cheese and spinach roll, and a savoury veg roll, all super yummy and the pastry is perfect every single time!
The young guy serving me was polite and friendly even though they were 30 mins away from closing and were probably dying to finish cleaning and go home for the night.
The sauce & napkin station was clean & tidy, the pies were delicious, and I appreciated the positive experience.
Great customer service
Yummy fruit bread toasted and a decaf mocha
Hit my Breakfast hunger
Love Banjo's coffee, and their food is delightful. Especially like their spinach and ricotta rolls.
Brought a cape Grim steak & mushroom pie. Found a hair in it when I was half way through. Arrgh. The pie was actually hot but it lacked any flavour. Was about 2 miniature slices of mushroom. Small amount of beef & plain gravy. There was actually no salt or seasoning. It was tasteless. Don’t think I’ll buy another
Banjos, never a let down, they stick well to the brand (franchise) staff are always friendly and happy, clean stores, yummy food! Just waiting on a drive-thru
Bought two meat pies from Banjos in Claremont today tasted great but they had hardly any meat in them hardly covered the base of the pastry apparently you now pay for the air inside a pie, won't be going there again
It’s clear that the place is being run into the ground by the people running it, got a coffee, carrot cake and mushroom pie. Coffee was burnt, the person making it didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing it, carrot cake tasted off and the mushroom pie was burnt on top and soggy down on the bottom. Not sure if it’s all the new staff that haven’t been trained properly or the old lovely staff being pushed out that has made this banjos the worst in Hobart but I won’t be returning that’s for sure.
Very disappointed, new staff are rude, the house cake was so old the raspberry’s tasted off, the caramel slice was so disgusting it went in the bin, the chocolate tasted off! I use to frequent this place and the food and service was top notch, now it’s run by teenagers who don’t care if I get food poisoning…. Lift your game Banjos Claremont
What happened to my free birthday cake and the pizza are getting worse, I expect ham and pineapple not 2 bits of pineapple and half of it so thin and no filling on it, and my hubby got a cold tea and had to take it back, this place is really going downhill not many sandwiches to choose from as cabinet is nearly empty
One of the better Banjo's in Tasmania. Probably because of lack of crowds and pretty much exclusively local customers. Great pies!
You can't beat Banjo's for a great pie or pastie. Though the apple and raspberry Danish was superb, along with all the other goodies and fresh bread and rolls.
Amazing, so fresh, I’ve never had a better spinach and ricotta roll in my life before, so so incredibly fresh
I’m so impressed and will most definitely be a returning customer
Loved this place when it first opened. Now the food is disgusting, the worst coffee & very unfriendly/ uncaring staff. I visit here regularly but I will no longer be. Gave this store 3-4 chances on different occasions & I am done buying anything here. The chai I ordered had zero taste, it was just warm milk or so it seemed. Ordered a sandwich & the bread was stale beyond eating & I ended up tossing it - this was at lunch time so not like it would have been sitting there all day. Prices are far too high for buying a sandwich you throw away & a coffee could have made yourself at home with instant. Meat pies used to be beautiful now taste like jelly. And to top off any fun filled visit to Banjo's Claremont, the staff speak to you as if serving you is the worlds biggest problem. Not a single smile or how are you. I wont be returning & I will be advising others to do the same.
Disgraceful service. Came in to store at 8.10 and ordered a small hot chocolate for my son. At that stage not a single customer was in the store but somehow 9 people were served after staff even attempted to make drink. Drink ready at 8.20. No apology from staff for the wait.
Don't blame the staff, blame the management. 1 young staff member on.
Staff are always so happy and friendly. The food and coffee is great too! Definitely one of my favourite places to have lunch and a sit down.
Service is ok but always fresh food. The person who served me was Tim he had also made the sausage rolls. Really good assert to the team.
This is a great place to stop for a coffee and some cake or for lunch. There are so many delicious options freshly baked. I love going to Banjo's and the prices are very reasonable too! Very friendly staff and always lots of spots to sit.
Banjos is Banjos. Good pies, cakes, bread etc. Good sandwiches. Great coffee. Good place to sit and chat.
