Bakers Lane reviews
13Best club in Launceston Tasmania it has got a diversified playlist, and special afro Friday's now.
Relaxed atmosphere and generally a Charrier crowd. I've had a good time the last few times I've been here and the staff were very friendly
Love the music. Some heavy edm mixed with some pop. I was probably the oldest person in the joint it def for the younger croud. Was expecting more with cover charge and a big rep but it's just a shoe box with a bar and a dance floor. Still was a great fun mainly for the music. Go there if your sick of hearing the same 10 songs from the clubs in Hobart.
A place to enjoy fine drinks with an atmosphere to match.the cocktails and staff will defs make one return asap
#TheBestCocktailsInTown! Great Bar, Awesome Service! Friendly atmosphere and all round fantastic experience
I grew up in Launceston and went to Lonnie's a few times in the early noughties. I remember the peak of my nights there being Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" played 7 times over the course of 3 hours.
Flash forward to 2021, I've managed to get back to my hometown for Mona Foma with a bunch of friends from Melbourne and we hit Bakers Lane.
The dancefloor was empty when we arrived, but the DJ must have sensed we were frothing a sesh as he put on "Celebration" by Kool and The Gang.
30 minutes later and this dancefloor was heaving more than Burnie on pension day. I was worried for my life when the DJ played "Freestyler" by Bomfunk MCs - the result giving Launceston its greatest magnitude scale rating since the great Cataract Gorge flood of 1929.
I never knew why it was called Bakers Lane - but given everyone there was cooked, it all makes sense to me now.
Had a good time there for a couple of drinks but the range of drinks was quite small. The fact that they do have food is a big positive though.
We were the only people there and they kept insisting we sit down, even giving me my first warning after I stood up to buy a shot, citing covid stuff. Spent way too much money on this place. They’re worried about being shut down? Obviously they’ve evidently done the wrong thing in the past to cause it cause we did nothing to cause it.
Fun environment, good tunes after 2am but a $10-15 door charge on top of the price of drinks inside $10 shots that arnt even close proper measure or in a sized shot glass is an absolute joke, really feels like preying on the very young and far beyond wasted kids that are the majority of the clientele
Turned away because I had steel cap boots, what a threat I posed to patrons! What a joke.there are much better places to grab a drink
One of my favourite places on earth. The most wonderful atmosphere coordinated by two of the most wonderful bartenders. You'd be silly not to stop by for some love
I had my husband's 30th Birthday here the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food was good and the atmosphere was perfect.
Groovy little bar and restaurant! Chips were especially good, the burger nice too. Set in a nice green leafy setting. Worth a visit.
