Ashmore on Bridge Street reviews
37Had breakfast here this morning. Absolutely beautiful breaky and great coffee. Service was exceptional. Well done
The first time in Tasmania, the taste is good but the way the lady grabs the cups are not what the customer desires as putting her finger inside the cup to hold! I wouldn't do it for anybody.
Really nice spot for a tasty lunch. Lovely staff and veggie options.
Street parking
Went on a Sunday for brunch with three others, ridiculously long wait time for three meals, and the fourth meal took ten minutes longer than the others. Service was okay, nothing outstanding. Average food and coffee at best. Will not return.
We had a very nice breakfast here. A good choice a dishes to suit all tastes. The price was reasonable and the service was friendly and and fast
As soon as I walked in with my mum and best friend we were welcomed from the most beautiful people ever to run a café, and made to feel as if we had known these people for years. I don't know if this is the norm or just a really great day for smiling, but the people running and operating this gorgeous place have the most amazing uplifting positive energy and you can tell it goes into everything they do from delicious cake to fantastic coffee. The cookies and fudge were also a must! Going back again soon so I can have a full meal there. Lovely way to start the day exploring Richmond! Highly recommend to all!
Sweet, cosy cafe on the main street of Richmond. Tasty food with plenty of gluten free options.
Great cafe with great food. Wonderful atmosphere. The building looks great from inside and out. Definitely recommend stopping here.
Amazing place all round! It was my sisters bday and I happened to mention it so they bought out our meal with candles and sang happy birthday.so thoughtful ️
Cute building in Richmond - quite an extensive & varied menu but we only had coffee n cake. However the place could do with a new paint colour scheme - apparently an interior decorator chose it - they need to be sacked!
Amazing scones and the best raspberry jam I’ve ever tasted which you can also buy:) cute cafe and we sat outside which was nice!
I tried the Toastie. And if the flavour in the humble Toastie is something to go by, I can't wait to return to try everything else on the menu.
Easily some of the best fish and chips I've ever had, just falls apart and melts in your mouth. Loved it! The young ladies at the counter were also lovely, awesome service. The only downfall was the price was quite steep for the amount I got. Other than that and a longish wait time for food, pretty good.
This place is a must if you are visiting Richmond, great service and excellent food and coffee.
Flew in from South Australia and needing breakfast at midday, Ashmore hit the mark 100%. Really liked the old decor and feel in the shop, making ue of the heritage fabric. Great range of tasty food and good prices. Bacon was really well cooked! Friendly staff and prompt service of food. We'll be back!
Our family ate here twice in the 5 days we came to Hobart for holidays! The cottage pot pie (which was a special) was the highlight! Pulled pork sandwich and scones were absolutely fabulous too. Very accommodating staff as we had a big group of 11 without a booking! Thank you!
The beetroot tart was superb, better than I could have hoped for! The others loved their food, too - soups, risotto, eggs, pancakes etc.
Only downside was that our group of 13 people had to wait so long for the food to arrive, despite booking the tables for the birthday party well in advance. Everyone was restless by the end.

The staff were excellent. It was a very busy day in Richmond with many tourists and lunchtime saw many people wanting somewhere to eat. The staff at Ashmore were wonderful, patient and doing their best to ve accommodating. Venue had wonderful atmosphere and was bathed in autumn afternoon sun. Food was delucious. The parents were very happy with their fish and chios. The only complaint being the serving size was too big for them and they felt obliged to eat everything (tue two "younger" ones helped them out). The chicken and chorizo risotto was excellent with each element working well with other elements in the dish. And the scones with jam and cream was eaten with enjoyment. Two of us had eaten here before (many years ago) and the cafe has maintained its high standard.
The pulled pork meal was amazing. Coffee is always good. Book first as it's hard to get a table.
What a great spot. Nice strong coffee, good quality sough dough (and properly toasted unlike many places now) crispy, not 1/2 cooked bacon and cold water at the table, not room temperature like loads of slack places now. So refreshing to experience a cafe doing everything well.
