Arve River Camping and Picnic Area reviews
10Absolutely gorgeous area and forest but a very small parking area can only fit 4-5 cars, was full when we went.
Free and Seriously beautiful campground.
Running river and surrounded by trees. Fire pits rubbish bins. Gazebos for eating and sitting.
Small walks through the forrest near by.
Close to the Tahune airwalk.
Quite and off the main road into the canopy tour forest. Near a stream. The forest track up to the waterfall was not cleared when I went so did not get to the waterfall. Love the old forest trees.
Really nice peaceful spot beside the river. Has toilets, shelter, picnic tables, fire pit, and rubbish bin.

A great spot to set up a tent, right by the river. Basic toilets and some firepits. There's roughly 4 parking spots if you're in a campervan. Quite a magical place!
Great little camp site next to the river firepits are well established and have hotplates over the top. Would recommend.
Was previously so beautiful but since the bushfires a couple of years ago it is a bit worse for wear with fallen trees all over the place
Awesome place free camping
There bins
Flush toilets sink and water tap quite sure it's just creek water
Theres quite a few mossies and wasps but easily avoidable
There is also undercover areas and fire areas with built in hot plates
It's a small area can only fit a few caravans/ rv's
Maybe 8 or so cars
About as good as free camping can get - there's fire pits with plates to cook on, picnic tables, bins, taps and toilets (however these are out of order as of 18/11/20). Mind the log trucks that drive past during the day. We were the only ones camping and was a lovely, quiet place to stay the night.
Not much parking only about 5 cars max can fit in carpark.place has a fresh water stream running past BBQs tables open fire BBQs toilets and some information on walls of a shelter.allowed to camp there for free. But no phone reception here.a good stop on way to Hart's peak national Park
