Artery reviews
23Fantastic little store for everything artsy you could need. Friendly and knowledgeable staff were quick to help with any questions.
Helpful team, I got one print framed and a canvas re-glassed. Very happy and great work. Thank you:)
Incredibly helpful, knowledgeable staff. If 1 staff member is unsure, they make an effort to ask their colleagues before saying they're unsure. Loads of different craft supplies, so easy to pick up a new hobby. Thank you for a great experience.
My favourite place to spend a lunch break. Could browse here for hours. They give you a $40 gift card if you spend over $200.
Excellent service, good range of products. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Some top range paints available here such as Michael Harding’s oil paints and a good range of papers and printmaking supplies too.
A jam packed art supplies store right in the heart of the city. A wide range of supplies from student quality to the developed artist.
I went to Artery looking for a particular brand of watercolour masking fluid that had great reviews, as I had purchased another well known brand with a disappointing result (not sold to me by Artery). The masking fluid I went in for was not ranged by Artery but a very nice sales person said from experience they really liked another brand they sold. So I purchased it based on the sales person's experience and I am very, very happy. Thank you to both the sales people working on Monday 26th September 2022.
Incredibly helpful staff that knew what they were talking about! Any vague suggestion of what I was referring to and they immediately knew what I meant, what I needed and what would work best. And they even offer additional rewards to students!
10/10 best place to go for quality art supplies and service!
A great range of products. Staff are excellent and willing to give their time to advise. Thanks.
Good selection of products (more expensive than ad art) but rude and unfriendly staff. They might have just been having a bad day but I didn't get so much as a 'hi' or 'thank you'. Very negative energy and made me feel like my business was annoying for them
They have a range of different products from paints to pompoms, however it all seems quite highly priced for what they are.
Awesome range of art supplies, helpful staff and off street parking for free in the middle of the city!
This art shop is one of the best places to buy art supplies in Hobart. The prices are affordable with student discounts. The customer service is admirable.
The exact same sketchbook that costs me $14.95 on the northwest costs me $72 here - absolutely ridiculous pricing. But good variety and service
I have spent hundreds of dollars in there and I'm sure I could spend hundreds more. In my opinion the best art supply shop in Hobart
Lovely service. I've been going for years. Pricey-ness is to be expected of a nice art supply store like this. Good range.:)
Wide range of books, magazines, paints, brushes, modelling materials, general stationery, canvas (pre-stretched or by the metre) and many more things to tempt anyone who enjoys being creative.
Should be called Fartery because there was a customer in there and she was farting nonstop and oh my god it could have killed a small child or an elderly person easily.
Friendly and helpful staff, a great location - in the centre of town, close to the carpark, stocks a variety of professional and crafts items.
Artery in Hobart has for decades been to artists what McCanns has been to musicians- the only place to go by default. It's range of products is considerably modest when compared to the abundance of art supply stores and supply chains on the mainland and discounts are very rare. Sure, the staff are helpful etc but the whole store reeks of patronage and the musty scent of the 'Hobart club'. Occasionally, another store will pop up somewhere with a less claustrophobic layout and affordable supplies (Art Shed/Portofinos) but they never last too long, leaving Artery to reign supreme and unchallenged for the foreseeable future.
