Argosy Motor Inn

Good clean hotel with big rooms, speedy wifi, good amenities and a big tv screen. Washroom was clean and huge with a full size tub.

We booked it due to its proximity to the spirit of Tasmania's terminal. Even though its 3 stars, it has a feel of 4 stars hotel. Due to early departure, we couldnt check the breakfast, which i think would be amazing too.

Only issue I found was the parking spot. Due to new year eve, hotel was fully booked and spot near our room was taken.

Definitely recommended!

It does what it says on the label. Rooms are clean and the location is convenient for Devonport.

We stayed at the motel after getting off The Spirit of Tasmania. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff were really friendly and accommodating. The ship got in late and they even kept the bistro serving till all people had checked in to the motel and ordered. The food was really great too.

We celebrated my 9 year old daughters Birthday Party Lunch at the Argosy Bistro today.
The staff were absolutely amazing, in particular, I definitely need to shout out to Sue in the Bistro who went above and beyond for our group. Sue treated our large group with a high level of respect, friendliness, care and service that is rare within most similar establishments. She even lit the candles on the birthday cake and carried it to our table at the end of our meal. Staff made our daughters day easy for us and fun for her.

The two occasions that I have stayed in the Argosy accommodation has also been a great experience. Clean functional rooms at a good price, with friendly staff.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, nice and clean room. The only thing was a bit of noise from the main road. Good value for your money compare to other motels/hotels.

The rooms are clean great bed and shower great meals in bistro a place with helpful and friendly staff.will definitely be staying here next time I need a room thanks argosy for your hospitality

Stop for dinner and drinks before loading back on the spirit of Tasmania nice and close service and food was great

Conveniently located close to the Spirit of Tasmania. The rooms were clean. Great bistro onsite for dinner options.

Very nice rooms for the price. Very comfortable bed, and great size tv.
Meal in bistro was average, but on par in comparison with most establishments these days unfortunately.

Very comfortable room. Came off Spirit of Tasmania and was able to have a late meal as they stay open till 9pm. Had brekky in dining room next morning. Just great.

Came for dinner on Friday night was super busy and people everywhere but the young waitress Sophie made sure to go around every table checking if meals were okay and everyone was okay after waiting quite a while for meals, making people laugh and smile, people waited up to an hour which is unacceptable but the way she handle the people was awesome to see, keep up the good work guys will be back

Hubby and I spent three nights at The Argosy East Devonport. The King suite was spotless and smelt newish. Had all the facilities and bed was very comfortable. Room service was great, massive meals at a good price and delicious, so you will never go hungry! Reception check-in and check- out were friendly, Bar staff were friendly and had a good joke with some locals.
We enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back to stay, when in Devonport!

The room and bathroom here was clean, the accommodation pretty well priced and the staff were friendly. The only small issue was a bit of a craft coming through the length of the door.

Did not enjoy my meal at all oysters swimming in Worcestershire sauce with a few pieces of bacon no cheese and was not put under the grill my parmigiana was dry and bacon overcooked vegetables cold. I have had meals here before and they have been lovely not this time disappointing

The Argosy Motor Inn far exceeded my expectations. The staff were stellar. The room was secure and comfortable. The location was perfect. It's located on the shore of the river, with a bistro attached, serving excellent food - one of my best meals during my 2 weeks in Tasmania. There's also a bottle shop next door. The dining room for breakfast is equally recommended.

My wife and I came for a meal on a quite Wednesday night the food was delicious, there were two young girls taking the meals, my wife asked for a little extra tartare sauce from Ashley she asked her twice she was quite rude and both times came back empty handed with no explanation, the other younge waitress with dark hair, came and checked on our meals and brought my wife the extra sauce and apologies for the action of the other waitress lovely staff the older ladies in the bar and cash area were both lovely and very accommodating but that’s the second time that Ashley had been disrespectful and rude

Staff was great, from check in to check out! Super friendly and helpful. The room was also really good: firmer bed, clean, heating and incredibly quiet (specially considering the location). And on the location, also not bad: a couple of minutes drive from the cbd and right beside a bottle-o.
Big shout out to Cassie at the breakfast room for the great service!
Argosy Motor Inn is an easy recommendation if you're in Devonport.

The experience at the Argosy was fantastic the food l would give an 11 out of 10 and the service was amazing and they couldn't do enough for you, certainly worth going to
