vintage ranges. You will always find a precious treasure
.
Carl has such great customer service.
Great shop filled with a wide array of quality stock - small and large pieces spanning colonial to mid-century - and a very friendly proprietor who knows his stuff!
One of the best Antique and collectibles shops in Hobart! An absolute must see if you are visiting, something for everyone, such an array of interesting and beautiful things, and ever changing. All ways helpful and friendly customer service second to none. Highly recommended.

I love visiting Carl’s antique shop. (And Carl too, of course!) I have been a fan of the antique shop for 15 years now - since it was first set up, and the variety of ever changing stock to be found in there is interesting and exciting! Carl’s pricing is always fair, and he has gone out of his way to seek out rare items for me over the years. Carl is a genuine, honest and kind man. Thanks for your all of your help, Carl.
A unique and delightful treasure trove of interesting items, classic and one-of pieces to delight any curious mind, and a stellar collection of books, all well cared for, maintained, and presented. Carl is a genuinely welcoming, friendly, and generous soul who went out of his way to ensure I found the ideal piece I was searching for. First-rate and old-fashioned generosity, friendliness, and interest in customer's search and selves - a lovely little store run and manned by a lovely and interesting chap.
A stunning table I bought there over 10-year-ago remains a favourite piece in my home and has stood the test of time and shared many meals over the years!
Thanks Carl.
A nice little antique shop, we enjoyed looking through everything. The owner was talking to a young boy that was interested in antiques and he was very kind and informative to this child and even gave him a special book to read, no charge? Very impressed
This is an amazing store full to the brim with a huge variety of beautiful and curious things. I bought a beautiful, glass-fronted Huon pine bookcase from here recently and needed to take it back to Melbourne. The proprietor, Carl, was wonderful. He had a very workable solution for getting it into the back of my Honda HRV and it made the trip safely. I highly recommend this shop and Carl in particular to anyone who enjoys browsing and occasionally purchasing high quality antiques and collectibles.
Awesome Packing! Mint condition. Very rare books in stock.
Three books mailed were bubble wrapped, then sandwiched between two cardboard pieces and taped tight.
They came in absolute mint condition, with not even the pages opened and the cover corners perfect.
Nothing could have damaged them in transit.
These are rare historical books, so they have a good range too.
Thanks Carl.for your time and care packing them.
Great shop laden with goods from floor to ceiling. Lovely friendly and helpful service when asking for assistance.
Although this is a small the owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. Lots of unique items. Well worth a look
Wonderful experience and some super finds! We brought a few items to take home including a Sally Morgan book. Carl was so friendly and kind!
Carl is quite knowledgeable and helpful. I loved the variety of light fixtures you can see at his shop and furnitures were also worth the trip. You will definitely find something that would interest you.
This is a great antique shop with the best collection of Art Deco light shades I've seen. Really worth a visit to Newtown to see.
Beautiful antiques business, great mixture of the interesting and obscure, I has found many lovely things here
