Apartments Portsea Place reviews
7 We stayed here for 2 nights in Hobart and for the price and location it was good value. No frills but just a walk away from the Salamanca markets and within walking distance to everything in Hobart.
Note, there are a few flights to climb to get to the apartment if you are on the top floor. Also wifi is rubbish we were getting less than 1mb download speed. This might actually be slower speed than when we had dial up 20years ago!
Was a real delight staying at Portsea Place. Noyhing was too much trouble.
Bec the owner enabled me to check into my room early. Kitchen in unit was well set so you can cook a meal.
Yet within walking distance to salamanca market and all the eateries and wine bars.
I'll def be back when I next travel to Hobart.
Got a great price for a comfortable and clean self contained hotel room with a full kitchen. Great location and within walking distance to Salamanca, Battery Point, CBD, and plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area.
Wonderful spot for a short stay. The rooms come equipped with its own kitchenette, fridge, shower and TV. Incredibly spacious room and quiet too (perfect for a good night's rest). Great location to all the eateries in the city centre (plus nice cafes on the other side) and a chemist. Will definitely return here the next time I'm in town.
Would not recommend - tired decor, bed wasn’t great and the manager is very rude and unhelpful.
We accidentally took a disposable key card which should cost $5-10 to replace. It was express posted back within 48 hours at their request. They then proceeded to charge me $60 without any communication or authorisation from me. They proceeded to then ignore my request to clarify what this charge was. I would not have taken time out of my holiday to find a post office and pay to express post this card back had they told me up front there was a charge either way - very dishonest and poor communication.
Stay elsewhere.
