Anglicare Tasmania reviews
8 I use the attached N. S. P at this Anglicare city branch. Catering for all the needs of I. V substance users in particular. Whatever your D. O. C is, or if you 'Polydrug' use, as I do & need diff' sizes, gauges etc, u r covered. And to top it off. It's all FREE! (Though if you can pay 30 & 50cents for 2mL / 5mL sterile waters respectively, it's huge help for this free service.
Two vending machines outside offering a wide range of equipment @ 2$AUD 4those late night/early morn' needs.
Had a absolutely horrible experience with anglicare and my support worker ben
Been in a anglicare transitional property for over 3 and half years and then get told I have to move out on grounds of it being short term only eventhough I've Been here for 3 Christmases now when I first met him I explained being homeless is frightening as I've been through domestic violence and then he says to me "you are homelss wendy" what a thing to say to someone
Then he and mission australia called me and offered me a property they made me believe I was moving into a property in Mornington and then after a few weeks get told that isn't happening anymore and wouldn't tell me why
he is now on leave and I literally am left without not knowing what is going on. ITS SO WRONG was supposed to get a phone call o. Tuesdsy 15th in the afternoon from David Thornton which is the senior worker and I didnt even get a phone call back.
They talk about food assistance but when calling they have no support at all. They can't even support there worker they make bankrupt sending them to people that harm them. They have no soul.
A few months ago, I had an appointment there with the man responsible for counselling intake with new clients.
However, despite the appointment meant to start at 3 PM, he didn't come to the waiting area until 3: 15. Not punctual and no staff told me there would be such a wait and delay and whether I would rather reschedule the appointment. Very poor. Also the counselling intake employee was quite judgemental and ignorant when reading through a document I brought with me that I had word processed.

These people are militantly chasing ordinary people away from their building by saying that all the car parking near their building belongs to them and their staff. Even the public street parking meters. I tried to park on Watchorn St using a public council meter, but an Anglicare guy raced out of his Anglicare office and told me to move or he'd call police, because his office workers "need all these parks, and we have an agreement with the council". Last time I checked, its public street parking, buddy. You can't just claim everything for Anglicare staff. I'm going to see the Hobart City Council and in the meantime, I suggest don't give anglicare a cent of your money. They only care about carparks they don't even own, and thats where your money goes.
The staff at Anglicare a branch in that they are very empathetic in relation to any potential or real problems that you may have and they do anything and everything that they can to help you I would recommend that anyone that is in hardship to go to see them
