A Slice of Paradise reviews
7Great views from the deck, out of the way a bit and good if you want somewhere quiet.
Loved our 3 nights at the Rob's place - A Slice of Paradise in Barnes Bay. It sits in a lovely position at the end of Beach Road about 100 metres from the jetty & boat ramp.
At the time we stayed the house name was Oyster Cottage
Rob the owner lives next door and has done a brilliant renovation on the cottage with beautiful polished timber floors.
Whilst based there we thoroughly explored the whole of Bruny from the lighthouse way down south and Pennicots 3 hr Wilderness tour ex Adventure Bay to the Quarantine Station 8 kms away from Barnes Bay. Could easily have stayed longer.
The lounge has great garden and channel views, with a comfy lounge in a sunny area with underfloor heating so its a great spot to laze away an hour or so.
The dining area is in a little glass conservatory area and also has great views, and sliding glass doors out to a sizeable deck with BBQ & table.
There are 2 bedrooms - ours was very comfortable with the bathroom next door.
No open fire but reverse cycle aircon & that underfloor heating.
Kitchen area has everything you would need & the cupboards are stacked with lots of basic essentials.
Great location, stunning views with everything you could need for a great holiday.
A well-equipped apartment with a beautiful view. Rob is very helpful in giving tips for Bruny island trip. It’s a peaceful and quiet place for holidays.
A great little spot! Nice and quiet, clean and spacious! Definitely worth a visit!
Wonderful location, easy to find. Relaxing surroundings. Good supply of condiments and kitchenware.
Whether you need to unwind for a few days or just need somewhere to stay while exploring Bruny, you can't go wrong here. Clean and light, literally a stone's throw from the water, a manic spot.
