Need a fair bit of maintenance. Good location close to everything

Good price & reasonably close proximity to city centre. After an hour of wasting our time trying to get heater working we rang reception. Young lady came around promptly & said there you go fixed and to just wait for it to heat up but after waiting an hour we realized it was broken, was only blowing out cold air. Bathroom heater Not Working also. Were offered to move venues at 7.30 pm but husband too tired & annoyed to be bothered so we said we would accept refund offer. For the inconvenience (and it was freezing) we were offered a paltry $20 refund. I read on these reviews that a lady named Jane 3 Months ago complained of the 2 heaters not working but they have done norhing to rectify the problem. Pretty poor effort Mercure. I personally do not need to stay in palacial accomodation but to have no heating is really bad form by Mercure, so obvioisly when we leave tomorrow nothing will be done, so beware if thinking of booking in colder months. Great start to our Tassie adventure. Thanks Mercure. NOT!

We stayed for 5 nights in July to August 2019 wow what a mess it was the microwave had food on the plate my baby pulled a cigarette packet from under the couch there was a cupboard full of food left from the previous guests and he dust wowza you wouldn’t want to suffer allergies. They also decided to pain the car space that was supposedly ours and we weren’t able to park there so they instead had to park on that awful hill.

Great place to stay. Very central. Only complaint was that the fridge was missing most of its shelves and stays so very hard to store bottles etc. Perhaps a phone call to an appliances parts center would be helpful.

We booked 96 on Arthur, apartment 7, in February 2019 and it was very disappointing. It was dusty, poor attention to detail with cleaning and generally mean.

The operators didn’t even include salt or pepper in the kitchen. A huge sofa without a single cushion; a living room without a single print or decoration on a wall. It delivered a new level of ‘minimalism’.

I complained about the dirty bathroom (a very long black hair in the bath; dusty surfaces) and dusty surfaces in the living room. I was given a bottle of wine - but the flat was not cleaned.

The property is managed by the Launceston Mercure Hotel. I had higher expectations of that hotel, even for an unbranded block of serviced apartments.

The only benefit is location and view.
