Zone Restaurant & Bar

Zone restaurant was one of the better pub restaurants I have went to. They had a very succinct menu where it was what the chefs can cook best rather than throw everything in the book and hope it sticks.

Had the beef schnitzel, chicken ceasar salas burger and they were spot on with the taste, sauce and portion sizes!

Had dinner for two on New Year’s Eve and it was divine! The wait staff were so professional and kind which made the atmosphere lovely. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread, beef ribs and chicken parmigiana. Could not fault any of it! The garlic bread was soft but crunchy, the parmigiana was delicious and the beef ribs were tasty and pulled apart super easily. The serving sizes were also on the generous side. Would definitely come here again!

Just had Xmas lunch meal, and was well impressed with the service and food.a very pleasant experience, will do it again.service manager went above and beyond.

Location good, service ok but better value for money elsewhere.food very average.not even good pub food.

Had dinner here last night on a public holiday. Good pub food, let down by poor services.had 5 at our table, 4 meals came out followed by the last one (steak and fries) 10minutes later. Felt it was overpriced/ expensive with the 15% public holiday surcharge. On a positive the calamari was very tasty and beautifully cooked.

Food is ok, location is nice. Very salty food and seafood not fresh. Music plays the same few songs on repeat.

Stayed in the hotel and ordered up some sides to our room. Good portion and friendly staff.

Amazing meals cooked to perfection so we just had to go back for dessert and weren’t disappointed. Tried some local wines which were top notch. Off to the wineries tomorrow for sure!

Food is quite ordinary pub food but they charge restaurant price. Drink is very expensive too.
A bottle of ki wine supposed to be $22 around the corner in the bottle shop is double in the pub. My fish and chips was dried and overcooked. If you don't know how to cook curry, it's better not to put it on the menu. It had no favour, no herbs, only a small amount of meat and half cooked rice.

Meal, a small peice of fish, chips and small salad is not worth $28.
Breakfast items were limited and did not always get refilled.

I had dinner here with family. Booked in for a table for 4. The waitress took us to a table close to the door, I asked her if she could find another table close with the ocean view, she said they are all reserved. When our food arrived, The butter chicken and rice was the worst I have ever eaten. Couldn’t eat it at all. Don’t even get me started with the Naan bread. We also ordered slow cook beef cheeks. The mash potatoes that came with it was so buttery, the beef tasted awful, too chewy. Overall we wasted 125 dollars for nothing. We could have as well just ordered pizza.

We stayed in the hotel and dined in Zone restaurant for dinner. The food was very good. My husband and I travelled different places and countries and worked in luxury hotel abroad thus we love food. All of us 4 enjoyed our dinner. Highly recommended to visit the restaurant while in KI. The view was beautiful overlooking the sea. Ordered cocktail and it's also good. Had this cocktail in different places and even home made. The staff also accommodating and friendly.

From the reviews we nearly didn’t eat here. So glad we gave it a go. Food was fantastic, the staff gave the kids books and pencils to keep them happy. Options on both the menu and kids menu were great. Fast service and beautiful view. Definitely recommend.

Very friendly staff and very accommodating even though we were not guests at the hotel nor had a booking (unlike other restaurants we went to). Was craving fish and chips and it was delivered. Crumbed and cooked to perfection and the chips were AMAZING!

We had a wonderful lunch today at the zone restaurant. Generous meal sizes, well priced, fantastic views, friendly staff and family friendly.

Spoke to a lady over the telephone 20 mins before arriving. Said they don't do takeaways but can come and dine in. After I reach the restaurant, they say that they are full. What a prime example of unprofessionalism.

Maccas is better than this. Really bad service. The fish is full of bones. The view is the only good thing here, but you can see it on the street for free:)

Made a booking with a young female waitstaff who was lovely.

The male waitstaff I dealt with during our dinner was incredibly rude and condescending after my meal was served incorrectly. Despite notifying staff straight away, the kitchen refused to remake my meal correctly as they had already started closing.

As it was late at night on KI, there were literally no other options for food - not even a convenience store. I left the restaurant in tears after the way the male waiter spoke to me throughout the situation. Strongly recommend against attending.

The location and the food is amazing! They had a drinks menu but wish there was a separate cocktails menu. Also would have been good if they had more vegetarian main options.
I also tried two of their desserts - sticky date pudding and death by chocolate, which were amazing!
