Have been eyeing Zen Wonders Matcha for a while. Had a matcha latte overseas and couldn’t stop craving it so finally purchased it! Their website gives you all the relevant information without overloading it. Side note- also been overseas my bank temporarily put a block on my card as it thought it was lost / stolen / subject to fraud. I really appreciate Zen Wonders offering alternative payment methods like a BSB / ACC transfer. Don’t see that often with other vendors. You’d otherwise be stuck until you sort it out with the bank.

Shipping was advertised, 2-3 business days. The items came packaged beautifully in a black box with care taken to wrap all the items to ensure they are not damaged in transit.

I purchased the Yukiro and Kohiki. Yet to try them. But the glassware they came in was elegant.

Also purchased the Genmaicha Chocolate Bar - a good balance of matcha and roasted brown rice - however a tad to sweet for my liking.

Can’t wait to make my first matcha latte and try the others!

THE BEST matcha you can find. I bulk buy the Kohiki blend and use it for matcha lattes. No matcha latte I have purchase at a cafe compares to this quality. Beautiful packaging. Great service. Quick delivery. Definitely give it a try:)

Specifically rating on the chocolate: I have given a star up for its taste. With its unusual taste of multiple black hair strands stuck in the middle of the chocolate. It also gave quite a texture that was hard to chew and digest:). My family was left with all sorts of emotions during this Melbourne lockdown where hygiene mattered the most.

I can almost guarantee that you will not find better quality matcha or sencha in Australia. It's been really great rotating this company's teas lately, because it's really easy in Australia to get burned (no pun intended) by terrible-quality, dusty tasting green tea (especially when it's Japanese tea, because it is likely to cost more to produce in good quality than competitor countries' products). Nothing could be further from the experiences I've had with this company.

Before this, I had to import Japanese tea, either directly from Japan (O-cha, Ippodo, and other companies) or through higher-quality mainstream overseas brands like Rishi or Breakaway Matcha. This can add so much time to the transaction, and there also seems to be differing opinions as to what constitutes good quality matcha, as some Japanese companies are charging a higher price for "ceremonial" matchas that are actually less enjoyable to drink than ones in Zen Wonders' "culinary" tier of quality.

I'm on the second purchase of all three matchas because I was so satisfied with them (I use them for matcha soy lattes, preparation of sweet matcha snacks, and for fruit-flavoured iced tea drinks), and the two senchas have really been all that I'd hoped for. Even with proper brewing, some sencha can end up really acidic in my opinion, and sometimes there's less of the grassy, sweet, fruity nuances I appreciate. Not with these! They're been so pleasant to drink on the recent cold days in NSW where we've been inundated with rain. Also, I really feel that you can't skirt quality expectations with matcha. If it doesn't taste good, that realisation is so all-encompassing because it's a product that has such an intense flavour. There's really some crimes against matcha occurring out there - but I don't have to embroil myself with them now, because I have a reliable Australian supplier.

I'm really glad I've finally found a company in Australia offering genuinely good Japanese tea, and delivering it promptly so that I can get started on the magic sooner. Earlier this year, I'd never even heard of this company. Now I would not hesitate to call them one of Australia's highest-quality tea sellers. I went a bit haywire and bought 400g tea in the last order and am working through it, but I know I'll be right back there when it's used up. Don't change! You're so good!

Very good quality and services, Roberto respond very quick so that I'm able to pick it up as soon as possible once I place the order. The Matcha powder has very nice colour and flavour, I love to use it in baking.

Broght Kohiki premium 1kg for the first time. Brought it after reading the recommendation by Roberto on the website. It is one of the best matcha i have tried to date. Superfast delivery, even taking into account the high demand on the postal system due to stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne at the moment. My order arrived carefully and beautifully packaged. Ordered the TAISHIRO Culinary Matcha to use in baking, but used today to make a matcha latte, and it was perfect. I will definitely be ordering from Zen Wonders again.
