Zap Lai

I was expecting amazing food going from the reviews. We ordered a green chicken curry and a red beef curry. The portion sizes were not 'generous' as other reviewers mentioned. They were very heavy handed with the fish sauce also. All I could taste was spicy fish sauce. Very pricey for what I received.

Amazing well made food. You can tell everything is made with care, love and time. The unique taste and food is just so good. Highly recommend trying the delicious sausages

We are always on the lookout for tasty, local eateries - and this is definitely one. We now had 4 dishes from Zap Lai and each was so delicious! Tasty food, good serving sizes and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Absolutely delicious
Everything was so tasty and not salty or spicy at all! Definitely a hidden gem in the northern suburbs. Well worth the wait after putting the order in. I tried to order a few items but sold out.that's a good sign that their food is amazing. Next time will try and order earlier so I can get the items I missed out on.looking forward to trying something different!
The place is clean, very polite staff and apologetic for waiting. Was happy to wait.

This is my first review as I think this place needs to be amped up! As others have said, this place is a hidden gem. Food is quite delicious and the service was great. The lad who served me was super friendly. Price and value is well worth it as well

Food is so good! A truly hidden gem for Thai food! Fried rice and pad Thai is not spicy but really delicious!

I grabbed thai sausages, chicken wings, nam khao, chicken larb, fried rice and pad see ew for the family to try. They were all delicious! Took couple of days to eat all the food: D

As another reviewer said, a hidden gem! Really yummy and authentic Lao food. I was surprised by the portion AND how the chicken Larb was made. It was made like a traditional home cooked meal and did not use chicken mince like many places.

Definitely going back for more food soon!

Hidden gem of Burton! These guys don't mess about with flavour! Traditional and home made! There are definitely some pros in this kitchen! Rare to be able to grab something delicious, tasty and healthy for takeaway. Although there a definitely some fried deliciously naughty choices too! We'll be back again! Thanks for having us ️
