Zap Fitness 24/7 Edwardstown reviews
24 Pathetic gym, old equipment, staff is doesn't care, poor customer service.
Please read the contract before you sign with them they are stealing money as well by putting membership on hold.
Do not register with Zap, Anytime fitness is costly but way better than zap
Modern equipment.and a good variety of equipment.clean premises
Flexible times for us are important, Zap gym open 24/7.friendly staff
Better place than other branch of Zap.there are heaps more variety of equipments compare with other zap.pretty huge gym.just minus 1 start due to crowd and lack of cleaning a bit. I saw dead cockroach on a floor for 2 months on same spot.should tell cleaner to improve their cleaning.also trainers doesn't look like caring much of equipment during their working hour. I saw pull up bar has some grease on grip, I touched that during workout and realised some sticky grease on my hand after couple of minutes.overall pretty good place, but definitely can be better
The staff are alright.but really disappointed to see low level of the hygiene and cleanness of air circulating fans.
The toilets and showers are moldy and messy.
Also the gym is kinda dark.it could use better lighting upgrades.
Honestly, you don't need a membership. Just wait outside during un-staffed hours and go in with someone or when someone goes out.
Let's call a spade a spade: - Very toxic & unfriendly atmosphere. Time these members grew up & learned to communicate, be friendly & don't stare! If I could give a zero rating I would.
This gym evokes so much happiness in me. There is so much of a family atmosphere and community although words are rarely spoken between gym members, there is an unspoken bond binding us as Zap Edwardstown members. To all my 8pm gym goers, keep grinding
Zap gyms are generally pretty cheap and oversold, hence crowded. Of all the zap gyms this one is the worst, for weeks and weeks out of the 6 running machines 4 were broken. They just don't seem to care. Like all zap gyms, this one is smelly and not well ventilated, they need a large flow of fresh air, they can easily achieve with big windows with security bars, or big ducted fans. Fans use very little power, there's just no excuse for the a stuffiness and musky stench of these gyms. I've joined many gyms, the good ones are not like this.
I only go to zap middle of the day or like 5am, because when it crowds the air gets thick with stench. We're in a pandemic, so it's extra gross to be hot boxing other people's breath.
So dirty… mouldy bathrooms, drains have algae growing, dust everywhere, toilets constantly stink. Do better.
Great spacious gym with some excellent equipment. Not busy and lots of car parking spaces.
I've been coming here over the last three years, but have noticed that a decent proportion of people working out don't use a towel, nor wipe down the equipment, and this happens even when the gym is attended by staff. Other than that, since the renovation, the layout is much better with a larger range of equipment, all at a reasonable $15/week.
Disappointed with a total lack of empathy.
My husband signed up for 12 or 18 months membership before our business took a hit with the Covid pandemic. He approached the centre asking for help and they offered to pause the membership. After many weeks, we realised that we were being charged an 'on hold' fee so we got back in touch. We were told there was no other options than to complete the initial length of the membership, plus the hold duration that had been added to the timeframe. We continued to do so, without a single visit to the gym until we had to change our credit card due to suspicion of the number being stolen. It was then that we heard back from Zap explaining that we still had some time left (approx 6 weeks of the extended term) and that we had to continue to pay, otherwise debt collectors would be engaged.
It is a stressful time for all including small business owners like us. I appreciate that it is likely detailed in the T&C's that there is no way of getting out of the membership and a weekly fee to putting one on hold. I imagine the T&C's were written before the pandemic and the inability to apply any empathy to our circumstances was clear and 'Fees over Fitness' seems like a good slogan after this experience.
Would not recommend.
Towels are seldomly used here and staff never question anyone so as long as you don't mind that it's a great gym. Equipment is mostly new/modern and gym is kept nice and tidy with a daily cleaner coming in each night. Cleaning wipes provided and I recommend using before and after machine use.
One of Best zap, but maintenance is an issue, kindly check on leakages in the gym from ceilings
Staff always friendly and helpful. Just had the floor plan changed with new floor covering. This makes the gym feel bigger
They offer a engagement free membership for like 15 bucks a week.
There is the essentials machines, dumbells up to 50kgs and cardio machines!
Not a huge gym, but definitely money worth!
The Original Adelaide Zaps, Trained here for the past 5 years! Hopefully they continue to invest into equipment and keep it on the same level as the new city establishment.
Considering its RIGHT next to the top supplement outlet in Adelaide there are a surprisingly low amount of meatheads!
Excellent gym with good equipment, friendly staff, economic, clean.
It would be great to have some more machines related with back, solders and chest.
Great gym. I'm a new member here and it has the best range of equipment in the area out of gyms in the area. $15/wk is a good price and the join up offer at the time was great. 24/7 access means I can go anytime, even when unstaffed.
