Yangtze Chinese Restaurant

Great food, great service. Couldn't fault it. They even brought out a complementary fried ice cream with a candle as they overheard my son, his partner and me wishing my husband Happy Birthday.

I had some of the worst Chinese food here. It tasted overly salted or msg'd. The service was lovely but the food was unfortunately terrible and we couldn't finish it (something that I hate doing is wasting food). I would be more detailed in my review but it was a while ago and they removed the review from their Facebook page! So here it is for prosperity.

Ordered the honey chicken, beef with cashews and steam rice for takeaway. They said it would be ready in 15 so I left as soon as I ended the call. The Honey chicken was dry and chewy and the sauce wasnt the best. The steamed rice was very dry and tasteless. The beef cashew was the only thing that was ANYTHING NEAR fresh and is the only reason this isnt a one star review. DON'T GET TAKE AWAY THEY ONLY GIVE OLD FOOD.

Steamed rice was so dry and cold, honey chicken was chewey and old, cashew beef was super tender meat and good sauce but it was so so so cold, all food almost inedible im left hungry with a plate to go in the bin, super disappointed they clearly dont care about takeaway orders freshness.

Tasty food calm efficient service quite atmosphere so you can talk, lovely to see couples talking not texting, marked improvement on the last time we ate here.

Very disappointed after having a lovely fresh meal in the restaurant a mth ago. The takeaway honey chicken tonight was old, dry & very chewy. Not worth eating big waste of money.

Honestly, I don’t know if this is a specific Chinese cuisine, but I found the food bland, and tasteless. The egg fried rice seemed like a literal egg and rice without any ‘Chinese flavor’. The chicken entree was tasteless too. Again, maybe this is a specific cuisine or they cater to patrons who prefer food like this but I was hoping to eat conventional Chinese food and this definitely didn’t taste like that. I’m used to spending $50-60 for a family of 3-4, but this was a big disappointment for the price point

Well a bit out of my way a friend ask me out on a family meal out. First reaction was its a very unique place staff was very pleasant. We ordered a sorted of meals + having 2 coarse.
Well I have to say the food was great must have a very good chef in there couldn't not fault the food.
So u up in Blackwood give then a try I think you will not be disappointed with the food

It's been a while however very freindly food was delicious lots of choice. Would certainly recommend.

Just had the best take away meal from this restaurant. The fillet steak in black bean sauce was outstanding. All delicious. Service was very friendly. Highly recommend.

Great place to have family dinner or order takeaways. I had king prawns with stir-fried rice and veggies. It was very tasty. Wine was also very good. My hubby ordered dack. It was great. There is an aquarium which is well maintained and will keep your kids busy with Nemo and Dori.

Every one is saying nice things here. I came with a rage here for the horrendous fried rice I just ate. Seriously it's the worst fried rice I ever had. But again fried chicken with chilly flakes which I am also eating is marvelous. I don't know, may be take it a suggestion rather than complaint and make your fried rice little better. Go up $2 and make it worth it.

Best local Chinese food. The Satay Chicken is to die for. Fantastic, friendly, family run business. Have bought takeaway from here for 20 years.

I had the Yangtze special combination very tasty except for the meat (steak) was too tough to eat!

Fantastic service, meals were amazing, staff very polite and obliging, a great place to enjoy a night out with friends. Enjoyed the banquet!

What an awesome marine aquarium, wow! So cool. Very accommodating staff and delicious uncomplicated Aussie Chinese food. Highly recommended for eat in or take away. Just make sure you check out the aquarium it's awesome!

Just had lunch at the Yangtze and the food was brilliant, cooked just right, plus great flavours and polite friendly service.
This could become a regular for us.
