Workskil Australia reviews
6Pseudo public servants who need to learn case management and not just quote legislation.
Had to drop my Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment, was forced to continue to give up my University Degree (7 modules left) & lost out $500 on a course I had to drop out of (another one) tha basically was of a higher nationally accredited course then the one they forced me to do. Had to walk in there from Campbelltown to Adelaide & they had no time for people with disabilities (even got a medical certificate eventually with scans to prove the Campbelltown office wrong at least about my health problems). They took back an apology over the fire drill incident & my knee got worse. They won't let you apply for job interviews & won't show you the red tape documentation to back up that in any form of legislation. Their legislation differs to that of Job Active & Job Services Australia but they won't acknowledge it verbally or via email. Was forced to cancel job interviews by staff members - I did this as I was too frightened. Got into trouble & I couldn't defend myself & they offer no meetings in which to do so. Said "tertiary education isn't a meaingufl pathway to employment". The WFD "call centre" was this badly run graphics design thing which was pure hell after no sleep after trying to get there in poor health. I got into trouble for getting a job interview so the WFD coordinator at the time asked me to cancel it! What a joke! How this place can win awards I can't comprehend. They are profiting off the unemployed who only get a $20 for public transport which even under concession is shocking. You end up working for free more or less on an empty stomach as the cafes are a rip. They are very against education. Ended up being forced to do a Cert II course instead of a Cert IV one which more meaningful. The Cert II course was a copy & paste course I couldn't even complete as they didn't have the technology available to me. I couldn't prove myself with other issues but I did no wrong. Kept having to cancel job interviews as they wouldn't me go to them. WorkSkil is an epic fail.
Great helpful staff. If you are motivated they WILL help you get a job. Intensive support. Free Wi-Fi.
Biggest waste of time and parking space money and petrol. Ive been sent to the wrong adress for an interview in the hills at 6am. Ive had an interview with a demolision comp boss who got along great with but needed my asbestos removal license to work and was yet again let down or denied the course by workskil. Not the first time either. The list goes on, its like Im going in circles here. Not sure what they do all day besides laugh and joke all day.
Been with these guys for last several months, and the person I deal with is an amazing and very personable individual. He is very willing to listen and help out wherever possible. Totally unlike other Workskil centers, this one seems to have some really great people that are willing to help you out and not just see you as a number.
Started my work for the dole here, I was initially not looking forward to it however the staff member that's running the program is good-natured, has a bubbly personality and makes WFD really enjoyable.
I've had JSAs from Workskil that treat you like a number and make you feel like a bit of a degenerate, seems like the good ones are few and far between.
Wish there were more people like this particular JSA working for this company.
