Woodside Cheese Wrights reviews
25Always a great experience. Love the tastings, always walk away feeling great and happy! Thank you to the lady who is always there she is very good at her job!
Nice cheese but horrible service. We were the only people in the shop and the lady was very impatient. An absolute contrast to Melba's next door.
Rude service, person behind the counter clearly couldn’t be bothered. Cheese was ok but not worth dealing with the poor service received. Best to just visit the chocolate factory.
This place is advertised in every Adelaide Hills brochure possible. What we were expecting to be cheese tasting experience was getting two pieces of cheese from behind the counter in a small shop. Goat cheese was quite good, but frankly not worth the drive.
Cheese tasting was a great experience, shop also sold local olives and picked onions and other local items. Wish they had a few of the goats milk and buffalo milk options in the cows milk as the kids found them to strong.
Disappointing I used to enjoy cheese from here but the large old lady on was so rude that I simply left my stuff on the counter and walked out. Why spend money with someone who can’t pull their head out of there backside?
Love their cheese, which I buy from the Farmers Market with lovely service. But, Woodside Cheese don't want to answer their phone or respond to my messages regarding wanting to purchase a larger quantity of cheese. Their loss and I'm left feeling frustrated!
Cheese is good. But:
rang 3 times to ask for tintin cheese: no one rang back!
This service should be improved!
Visited their shop with family visiting from England. Lady behind the counter was rude & abrupt. Will not be going back!
Beautiful buffalo, goat and cows milk cheeses. Friendly and helpful lady served us. Quality local dried fruit and other goods on sale too.
Always something delicious if you are a cheesy person they have seasonal cheese's which are always worth a try the Monet and Pompeii are my favourite.
If you love cheese, do yourself a favour and go here.
Some excellent cheese on offer.
And if you love a smelly creamy cheese, you can't go past Harlequin.
Triple cream goodness which will leave you like.
As a disability support worker I was asked by my vision impaired client to visit Woodside Cheeses.
While in the store I was absolutely disgusted by the service my client received when tasting the different cheeses, the staff member only directed questions at me and not my client and only passed the samples to me instead of taking the time to let my client know what hand to hold out to pick up the sample. I may excuse this rudeness if it was busy however we were the only ones in the store tasting.
After tasting my client asked for a leaflet to order some in the future only to be told by the staff member its not in braille assuming my client need that.
This experience made my client feel belittled and deeply offended.
Cannot fault their cheeses. Goat and buffalo bries are a must try along with the tomato buff. Tried the Buffalo Figaro cheese and was pleasantly surprised - lovely tang and flavour given from the vine leaves. If you're at melbas you've got to go next door to these guys!
Warning - they close earlier than they advertise on their signs and online! Very frustrating as we had driven an hour to get there!
Excellent & very friendly service. Received lots of info & tips too. Love the cheese! I will definitely come back
Amazing locally made cheese, is one of my fav places to visit and only 20mins from Mount Barker!
Popped in and had a great chat, got all the information we needed and some great specials. Brilliant service and great food.
40 degrees outside, I had finished feeding my baby and needed a drink so I got a ginger beer to buy and placed it on the counter she was cutting cheese so she said won’t be a minute. I said that’s ok, whilst waiting I grabbed a jug of water from the fridge, she then said:
“That’s not for sale! ” I said I know but do you have a glass so I can have some whilst I wait.
She said “no that’s for cheese platters, if you want water, they are $3.50 over there”
I then said ok, I’ll just get the ginger beer & she said sure just letting you know it’s a $10 min for eftpos” I had cash but decided not to purchase.
Sorry but we have been coming here for years we bring people here all the time, we even had relatives from melbourne with us at the time of this poor customer service.
Only 3 days after xmas, 40 degrees outside and all the bushfires in the hills atm but still not even one shred of customer service/care. A glass of water for a mother with a baby is not much to ask, especially when they are a customer who was purchasing goods from your store & spending money anyway? !?
I messaged the facebook page & yet they just said “thankyou for letting us know” Disgusting.
