Online order, sent me to different fish and chip shop. Came back, asked for food to be remade as been a while. Staff mouthed off at me. Still made my food while mouthing off at me.

Terrible service. Order through uber eats. Right name on receipt, totally wrong order delivered. Not great when you call up and staff are laying blame to uber when they printed the receipt and our uber order doesn't match. Who wants 3 cold crumbed sausages. Gone down hill from when I thought they had the best yiros pack going around. First time I've felt the need to put up a review

Ordered through uber eats and got totally wrong order even though the correct receipt was attached to the bag. Ordered half chicken, chips and gravey we got 3 very hard dried up crumbed sausages, completely mushed and inedible peas and carrots with cold soggy chips and gravey. Rang the shop she said we could go there to wait while they redo the order. The point of delivery is so you don't have to leave the house let alone trying to wrangle kids at bedtime. Not helpful at all. No offer to redeliver. Horrible food. At least we got the money back. Also had a previous encounter with a pick up finding a dead black spider in the pasta salad. Rang the shop they said to come back and get something for free.we should have learnt our lesson after that, will not be going back again! Sometimes convenient location does not equal quality food. Would not even give the 1 star.

We have ordered double butterfish and chips with 2 salads. You can choose from number of salads, all of that costed us 20bucks.

Got chips and a yiros most over priced combo I've paid for especially for quality. Chips were plain, not crunchy. Yiros was alright. Service wasn't great. Won't be back.

Unfortunately my food was undercooked when I got it. And it wasn't taken very well when i rang them about it. It was a while ago though

Had 3 x1/4 pieces of chicken, salad and chips, the chicken was so dry it was 90% uneatable, chips nice and salad good.

Orderd Chicken Snit hot pack, previously had it a year ago it was great, this time not so much.

Vegetables were so over cooked and full of water it was like eating mashed nothing. Too skimpy on gravy and gravy too thin.

Chips were ok. Snit itself was OK.price was good though.

Ordered through Uber ears and firstly only got half my order. When I rang to ask why and see if they could rectify it they already knew… They were happy for me to drive down and pick up the fish, prawns and calamari I ordered and paid for though so I figured I’d give them the benefit of doubt. I shouldn’t have. The fish was so hard and overcooked and the crumbing on it was Rock solid. The calamari was so over cooked and well done I t made a sound when I snapped it in half, it was so over cooked it actually shattered… And as for the pineapple fritters, burnt oil flavoured with a hint of actual fruit. YUCK. Tried to contact Uber but unsuccessfully. I will be pursuing some action. Also tried to get my money back but Uber eats is proving a little more complex, near on impossible.
Will not be going back there, EVER. Highly do NOT recommend.

Sad to see the downfall of this place. Used to be the best gravy in the south. Had a beef schnitzel pack-couldn’t get my knife or fork into the schnitty it was so over cooked. Could’ve bounced it off a wall. It was actually inedible and does not deserve the one star rating I had to give it. Won’t be back.

The absolute worst chips we have ever had from any chicken shop. Both the chips and my sons nuggets were completely inedible. Rang the shop to complain and they blamed the potato shortage. Doesn’t excuse the nuggets being completely shrunken and dehydrated. Avoid!

First time I've placed an order and the person serving didn't say a single word the entire time. I understand having a bad day but that was very uncomfortable service. I watched as another lady walked in and no one was around to take her order she waited and then left saying not worth it.the chips tasted like they are cooked in old oil. Won't be back.

Last couple of times I've ordered the seafood pack, the prawns and calamari have been dry and rank. I didn't eat because I thought I might get food poisoning. Fish is fine.

Absolutely amazing food top notch all the time fresh as anything as well and great affordable prices also had a mishap where Uber made our order spill everywhere called the store and showed them the bag and they replaced the whole meal without even asking great service highly recommend

The fish and a pineapple fritter were overcooked, chips were great though. I assume the business has not long changed hands, so l will give them another go in the future.

Have been going here as it was convenient and was good, but the past 6 months has just been constant disappointment. Rude staff, constantly getting my order wrong or not having all of my order there! Worse days are when it's the younger staff only. Will be finding another place to go now. Not hard to get chicken schnitzel pack with CHIPS AND GRAVY no veggies and they give soggy veggies.

Southgate chicken shop have small chips for $4 and are the same size if not BIGGER than your medium for $9.50 and there’s are better

They constantly run out of chicken by 6: 30pm - it's very frustrating! Staff range from friendly to surly. Salads are average. I do like that they include pumpkin in the hot packs though (most of the time at least).

Tonight I went in to grab a quick dinner. I went in to order and of course I understand on a Friday night it is busy, but I waited a full half an hour for a box of chips and gravy. I was going to ask what the wait was, but staff seemed so rude and not one of them used manners. When the boss noticed I’d been waiting a while he got my order what was just sitting in a bag on the bench not under the heat lamps, it hadn’t been called out. I got home and it was soggy and stone cold. For $12 I would expect a lot more.

I bought a yiros. The chicken was so salty that I could not eat it. Rang the shop and they didn't care, the boss had just left. My son bought chips, again salty as, they must get their salt for free.
