Wirra Wirra Vineyards reviews
74 Always excellent: Sunday lunch at Harry's Deli.
Wonderful ambience, service and food.
The Kingfish Sashimi is perfection.
One of my fav wineries. Beautiful setting. Serving staff are passionate and shared some great history/stories. The deli is great; gluten free friendly & the banana bread is delicious!
Dog friendly outside only
Fantastic lunch at Harry’s Deli. Enjoyed the king George whiting wrapped in prosciutto, absolutely cooked to perfection and the sticky date pudding was delicious.
The staff were great, helpful and friendly.
We will definitely be back.
Doing a tasting at this winery meant we waited a lot while the one host went and served another table
It was the second winery of the day visited and sadly not my favourite of the two
Best winery we have been to. Food is good and very flexible options.what you will find is the exceptional customer service. We went for our anniversary and the staff was just so welcoming and friendly. We bought a bottle of wine which we dropped accidentally and the chef actually got replaced our bottle with a new one. Where they did not need to do but they showed us the real meaning of customer service. We were just so out of words by this gesture.
Just Amazing
Had a great experience here at Wirra Wirra. Rowan was a wealth of knowledge and could answer every question that we asked. The wines were amazing. Such a great winery with a good story!
Harry's Deli. Tripple Treat. Fantastic Food. Fantastic friendly staff. Fantastic wine. An absolute must.
No longer the dog friendly place it once was. Dogs are no longer allowed in the covered outdoor eating area. We were told it was a council decision, so we sat outside on the verandah with our WA guest and little schnauzer and a barely working gas heater in the cold, staring directly at the warm and and empty heated dining area of Harry’s Deli. We ended up so cold that we put our doggy in the car and moved inside. Food and wine were ok, although the flatbreads arrived cold. The wine tasting after lunch was a beter experience and the young man was very pleasant and knowledgeable. However, we did not buy any wine as the whole visit had lost its appeal and until they cover the verandah with blinds so outdoor gas heaters can actually work we will not be back! Pity, we used to eat there a lot. By the way, another reviewer posted photos on your website of a little mini schnauzer in your tasting room…a bygone era
We had a great experience in Wirra Wirra winery. We visited here today for a first time and Freda (staff) explained us very well. Lovely lady. Will visit here soon.
The vineyard restaurant was cold and un-inviting. Not very personable.
Nothing cosy about this place.
I ordered the vegetarian option for my main course. Miso pumpkin with whipped tofu and tempura eggplant. Salt, upon salt, upon salt. An ugly and unappealing looking meal.
My husband had the Coorong Mullet and enjoyed it very much.
The digital ordering of food and wine worked well until the internet went down, leaving us with no wine while we ate our meal.
We will explore other restaurants in the region.
Overall experience okay. Was a bit disappointed to finally visit the vineyard, travelling interstate after drinking the wine for many years. Bought $200 worth of wine and the tasting fee was still charged which is a bit unusual. I was interested in buying other wines off the tasting menu but unfortunately couldn’t taste due to it being a set menu.
As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of South Australia I spent a day exploring the lovely Mclaren Vale area, this was my 5th stop of the day and I came across this lovely peaceful venue, Bec and Rohan were great and I loved some of the Reds (Tempernillo/Granache) and the Rose here.
A great wine tasting of lovely wines only made better by the amazing explanation and charisma of Rowen, give it a go, you will be surprised by story and quality of the wines
Lovely staff, great food, excellent wines. Would definitely eat here again. Love the post and rail fence - never seen anything that size before.
First ever wine tasting and Rohan couldn't have been more helpful. A lovely guy, super knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had.
Thank you so much for an excellent afternoon, will be back again if I'm ever in the area!
Had a great experience touring the winery today. Rohan delivered an outstanding story and super friendly customer service. Top!
Update: after visiting the Cube, the high quality of Rohan and Wirra Wirra is even more obvious. Good on you, mate
Thank you to the team at Wirra Wirra for accommodating our group of 15ppl this afternoon. After a disappointing cancellation from another winery, your staff were exceptional in booking us in at late notice, accepting our 8 kids? And the service was incredible. Not to mention the beautiful food and wine. I could not recommend your winery enough, we will definitely be back soon.
Don't bother. Great front fence, but that's about where the experience begins and ends. Very poor service. Wine and cheeseboard were substandard.
The location is beautiful and the venue is charming and has the county charm. I had wonderful service from the team when making my booking. Our experience with the meals on the day was mixed. The pie was excellent and the pasta ragu was also great, unfortunately the Mushroom and Leek with Miso vegetarian dish was not terrible, would not recommend, which makes it difficult for vegetarians as the menu is limited. We gave our feedback to the waitress, however we didn’t feel it was well received. Overall is was ok, would be great to see more atmosphere, such as a fire pit outside, we would have stayed longer and had more drinks. Maybe even entertain, the place has so much opportunity.
What a gorgeous winery! The woman who did the tasting with us was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the property and was overall an absolute pleasure to interact with. We will see you again:)
