Windsor Theatres reviews
34You can’t beat the value of viewing movies at this cinema. Two movies on the big screen for $10 and a candy bar packed with lots of goodies and filtered coffee at interval. Love my visits to the Windsor which has been operating since 1925. Come along and support this iconic movie theatre.
Beautiful place and experience, the movies range from independent to block buster on a competitive screen with great sound quality.
The owner is always lovely and is enthusiastic about the movies which adds to the experience.
I could not recommend this place more.
Bargain price movies that change weekly with few ads. Upstairs and downstairs seating available. Small candy bar. Very friendly staff, calling regulars by name. One of the last of its kind.
Fantastic place have a $15 meal (inc a beer) at the Seacliff hotel then head here, great atmosphere the fella that is there running the show is a great movie buff the treats at the 'candy' bar are a decent price too not like the mega plexs 10 bucks for 2 movies!? Can't go wrong. I wish more locals took advantage of this great place
This place is one of Adelaide's hidden gems and a bargin, two movies for $10.00, the movies change every week, and the food and drink at the candy bar is also incredibly well priced. I love coming here.
Outstanding presentation and value for money, $10 for a double feature is unheard of in big chain cinemas, close to brighton road and brighton train station, there is plenty of car parking with easy access to the cinema, classic old prices in their candy bar with a good selection of drinks and snacks aswell as coffee and hot chocolates during intermission, well worth a visit and continued support to see this cinema into the future
Been going for nearly 30 years great value for money and sometimes unexpected movies that are missed by big cinemas
I rarely go to any other cinema- I like the Windsor much better.
Great value - 2 movies for $10, and run by lovely people. Plenty of free parking nearby, and no shopping centre crowds to deal with.
I am often pleasantly surprised by the second movie - sometimes I enjoy them more than the movie I actually came to see.
Great little cinema. Double features at bargain admittance price. Friendly staff and owner-operators.
Reminds me of the cinema as a kid. Double headers most nights of the week, with a candy bar priced like yesteryear. Owner is a good guy and puts on a great selection of movies, often pairing two different types to cater for all goers but also encourage people to see different things. Love the local chats in the foyer on Friday and Saturday nights. This is a hidden Adelaide gem.
Art deco bathroom and pleasantly airconditioned - not freezing and kept the bushfire smoke out.
Old time picture house. Comfortable, clean, great double features. Great value. Enjoyed the interaction of the other patrons, doesn't seem to happen in the larger theatres. A bonus of a few nice
eateries close by. Well done we will be back.
You get two movies for less than the price of one in other cinemas. Saw the original Glenn Miller story film tonight which was great.
$10 for a double bill of Spider-Man Far From Home, plus Once Upon A Time In Hollywood? That was super value and typical of the venue at Brighton. It's small, the seats are not super comfortable and no, you won't get hot popcorn. But value for movies and a friendly atmosphere? You get.
Brilliant old time 2 storey cinema showing double features for $10. Cinema doesn't get any better than this!
Lots of leg room good seats good sound system at a very good price can't beat that. Windsor is grate value ; A good night out I hope it will stay open for many years to come an yes I'm going back again.
Great place to watch movies, decent choice of snacks also can get tea&coffee during the interval. The theatre only accepts cash.
Excellent, $8.00 concession for two movies. Tonight was Dumbo and Aladdin, we both thoroughly enjoyed it, cosy little theatre.
Love this gem. The best palace to neste info comfy seats and watch a double feature for ten bucks! Great coffee, great parking, great movies. Nostalgia at its very best.
If you want to see a movie in an authentic environment and get a movie experience, with red broad seats, some in vinyl and some in fabric, red velvet curtains, then this is the place! And the guys in charge are great!
Movies changes every Friday, you can see 2 movies, the same evening/weekend daytime for $10! Parking on the other side of the street.
