Windara Bakery reviews
30Pie and sausage roll so dried out I thing it was yesterday left overs, no wonder i was offered sauce.poor food
Nice coffee, good service, and I have to say I love their multigrain bread. I wish I'd bought another for the freezer.
Tables need to be arranged better flow to the counter
Bought pies very tasty but barely any filling though
Very nice place great service and a huge range of products or lovely tasty, food. My wife and I had pies and a coffee, we will drop in again some time.
So my partner and I went to this bakery today Sunday the 11th of June at 11am. Nobody would serve us but others walked in and were greeted and served straight away. 5 staff members behind the sale counter with nobody serving. Management please explain? We kept our money and went elsewhere. Appalling!
Great coffee, it's a shame the vanilla slices are kept in a fridge. But the service here was exceptional. The pies are great though and there is an excellent range. Pastries as well. I would be a regular if I lived here!
We had a quick breakfast at this bakery on our way to Adelaide last Friday morning. Seems to be a popular bakery in town. Coffees were excellent and the freshly baked bread/ foccacia was very nice too.
The staff was most pleasant and helpful. Both the young girls who served us and made the coffees were lovely. We enjoyed our visit there.
Good selection of food: pies, pastries, sandwiches. Dining in is very basic. Friendly staff. Coffee is over expensive, I think: $5.50 for a cup and $6.50 for a mug and pretty ordinary.
I haven't tried all the bakery's in the Limestone Coast, but this rates as one of the best I have. Great hot food & real cream in their buns!
Stopped in for some food on the way to Victoria. Got a Salad roll, chips and some sweets. Best salad roll I’ve as in a long time (after I took the tomato out, gross). Apple square was delicious and staff were friendly.
Stopped on our way through to SA. Really lovely staff and a great cuppa tea for our journey. Loads of cakes and pies to choose from too
Brought coffee and a slice and was simply in heaven. The best coffee and baked goods around by far.yum!
Large selection of pastries and other foods, fast and friendly service, well worth the short trip to grab something to eat,
Best donuts and sausagerolls in the South East! We love making a detour through Penola for a bakery stop off!
Fantastic bakery, just top quality stuff! It’s one of those life affirming places you stumble across every now and again.
It doesn’t pretend, it doesn’t let on. It just does it well.
Great coffee and lovely fresh food. Service is good and they have a large variety. You can also eat in. Great bakery
Wasn’t happy with how rude staff were and how they really didn’t want to serve great customer service
Make sure you call in here on your way through Penola. Good coffee, great service and perfect pastries.
A favourite place to go for a scenic drive and arrive to an amazing selection of baked goods and excellent coffee. Service is always attentive, happy and accommodating.
It was good. I had a spinach and feta roll and the family had a variety of pies. The lemon slice was okay, but there were too many flavours going on in it for me- caramel base with lemon icing and hedgehog type bits. The kids liked it though.
Service and wait time were good.
