Magnificent campsite in the Flinder Range, in the middle of the woods, large powered pitches and one powered pitch, clean sanitary facilities, laundry room ($4 for washing and $4 for drying). Information point and fuel at the entrance to the campsite.
Excellent value. We paid $19 for an unpowered place.
Departure of hikes from this campsite depending on the season. We were unable to do them due to the heatwave (40°).
I really fell in love with this place.

Very beautiful campsite in the natural park with shaded pitches, very quiet and close to hiking trails

It's a beautiful spot and there is a lot to explore, hikes and drives. The camp sites are of a good size and the amenities are new, however, for busy period (Easter) the bathroom should be clean more often and toiletries replaced.

I found the camp ground quiet and peaceful with shady sites and with good facilities. The staff where helpful. The pool was a surprise, the restaurant good, the prices are reflected by the remoteness. I will be coming back here for sure. I love this outback it is just stunning.

Plenty of space to spread yourself out so you’re not near anyone else. Roads can be a bit confusing though so make sure you have your map from checking in to help. Toilets and showers are in separate rooms which was odd. Washing machine was only $4 and fitted everything I needed, completing the wash in only 30-40 min!

We camped here in mid December and it was very very empty, which is good. It seems that general maintenance is poor, but only in a disappointing, not disastrous way.

Gorgeous location, roomy sites, shade. The shop has good quality fresh produce. (and hot coffee!) Phone & internet cover, and free WiFi available.
Ablutions cleaned daily. Only complaint was that sometimes inexplicably the shower was cold.
Easy walk into the Pound, and shuttle bus available if required. Well located for all the great scenic drives. Great spot.

The camping area is a big area. You can see so many stars at night.
There are flushing toilets and showers (seperated into male and female) and I thought they were pretty fancy for a camping ground. The fees to camp there aren't expensive (I forgot how much per night). You also have access to the swimming pool if you're camping too. There is an IGA store in the camp site (it's quite small and expensive though). There's also petrol available near the iga too (although I think only diesel is available). You can drive to this camp site (and around) in a 2WD. However, you may be limited in driving around in other places near by in a 2WD. The Blinman rock pool is closed over the Christmas break as you have to access it via private property (not sure when it re opens). But the camp site was a great place to stay! Loved the warm temperature

An amazing location set in an idealic spot. In a busy school holiday period the amenities struggle due to the lack of them to cope with the demand. Only gripes are the tired amenities, no laundry with a working washing machine and no hot water tap. Would be amazing if they did a few upgrades.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Booked for two nights, then added on! Nicely spread out sites, clean amenities and a well stocked store on site!
.
Sad to see other campers ‘abusing’ the system by hooking up to power to their vans and tents. This power is at the BBQ areas for the use of travelers to charge lap tops etc. NOT full use for campers. Have respect please.

Fabulous location, but run down and poorly maintained. Half the lighting was not working and three of the four grills in the camp kitchen didn't work either.

Fab park.
Great staff in Visitor Centre, helpful and polite.
Well ahead of Rawnsley Park Station believe me.
Cultural walk this morning very very informative with young Aboriginal boy, leaned a lot.

Stayed on an unpowered site which was fine. Might be a bit different if there has been rain. Good amenities even though there were heaps of people staying. Staff were very helpful especially the bloke driving the shuttle bus. Tip, if you want to try a flight, book early.

Pre-booking is wise and the facilities were clean and well maintained. Use the park as your base as there is lots to do and see in the area.including the wandering goats. The IGA shop, restaurant & bar are the park's focal points. But the brochure showing the walks could use an update.especially the map.

Very few level sites, a useless park map (it's a big park), not enough toilets & showers, no sullage and $40/night for 2 adults on a powered site.

Wilpena Pound offers a unique insight into the geology of what may have been a meteor collision, indigenous life prior to European colonisation and the unbelievable hardships suffered by early pioneers. Resort rooms are basic and comfortable. On a minor note, the bathroom basin (unlike many motels) had a usable plug! The bar/restaurant can become crowded when two or more coaches are in. Staff are willing and helpful even when overwhelmed by sheer numbers. The dinner menu reads well but is not supported by kitchen staff. Overall, a comfortable resort in an eye catching location. Highly recommended.

I definitely recommend staying at Wilpena Pound Resort, we had a campsite and stayed longer than anticipated, it was awesome, bonus is the fuel, restaurant and shop. I will be going back

Fantastic location with great atmosphere. Nice bar/restaurant. Tourist information office and small grocery shop. Good toilets. Would get 5 stars but they don't show you where the RV dump point is on the maps! You have to ask. For those that want to know its in the long term carpark.
