Wheatsheaf Hotel reviews
31First time I'd been to a gig there for years. Mick Thomas. Only had a soda water, but the bar service was great and the atmosphere at the Wheaty was excellent. Great gig too!
Good vibes abound, eclectic and quirky crafted beers and other drinks. Home to SCALA and other musical groups - it's all happening in the beer garden. Food trucks may not always be to personal or dietary preferences but as they are on rotation it's a different kitchen every time.
The Wheaty is a great place to go have a beer and see some local live bands. They had a wood fired pizza truck out front with some beautiful pizzas on the go, the beers are certainly different but yummy none the less. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the environment was kid friendly as there were some families there watching the bands. Scala host the bands are so a fantastic job, sound was brilliant and the show flowed very nicely. So if you haven't been there yet, pop in for a beer and live music.
This place is unique. A classic Australian pub visually (both outside and in), but with a trendy and family friendly atmosphere. Great for beer enthusiast with lots of great beers from the onsite brewery.
Great atmosphere, sensational band and top notch front man 'Isaac Thomas and his best friends'! So glad to have experienced this class act. Thank you, we all feel better now,:)
Quaint atmosphere for a quiet drink or group session. An amazing selection of absolutely everything imaginable
Amazing staff, atmosphere, beer, whiskey and wine! Great food trucks and always a sensational line up of gigs. I don't always do an 800km round trip in a day but I do to see live music and enjoy the wonders of the Wheaty
A magical moment with a magical band that battled to get to Adelaide to perform despite all covid obstacles. Thank you for a wonderful evening guys, signing our record and sharing drinks together.
The amazing selection of craft beers and ciders were simply delicious and refreshing
One of the best bars/venues I've ever been too. Delicious brews, beautiful building and best of all one of the nicest music venues in town.
This is a cracker little brewpub! The atmosphere is laid back and friendly, the quality and range of beers is fantastic (most of which are brewed by the very talented Jade and her crew at the Wheaty) and the food trucks and live music finish the package off perfectly. I can’t recommend this place highly enough – one of my favourite pubs.
Wonderful older style decor. Great selection of beers on tap and wine menu appeared decent. Lots of guys with trendy beards so hipsters probably love it, but wasn't too pretentious. Bar staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Not a lot of pubs like this in Adelaide. Recommended.
Great relaxed pub. Friendly staff. No kitchen so they let you bring food in. There is usually a food truck out the front or wood fire pizza from Foodland 200 metres up the road is a good option.
The best place in Adelaide to enjoy craft brewing at its finest.
Plenty of social or drinking events, welcoming atmosphere and a rotation of Adelaide's best food trucks. Well worth a try
This is such a great pub. Really knowledgeable staff (they should be, they brew a lot of the beer on tap here) who are happy to take the time to explain all the different beers and styles. A great atmosphere is helped by the two wood burning fires, and with such a mix of clientele it's impossible to feel out of place. Add to that the regular food trucks out the front, it really is a great place to meet and see off the day.
Nicest vibes, loveliest staff, great beer, and the food trucks are fantastic. The Wheaty is a community.
Really welcoming open atmosphere. A good local crowd keep the place bustling, and the constantly changing beer taps mean the menu is always fresh.
Half the taps are the Wheaty's own brand, with the other half usually one or two other brewers. On occasion they have a tap take over, which is a must attend event, with raffles and rare beers on tap.
At the end of the night you can take beers home from their take away list, and there are some must haves on that list!
A great place for an afternoon business meeting or an after work drink. Sometimes there is a gourmet food van too.
What a dive of a pub. Dirty old furniture, old everything & they think that is trendy what an absolute joke. Expensive drinks thank god they don't serve food. Gave it a 1 rating only because there was no 0.
Tap list predominantly their own beers, styles range from middle-of-the-road pales and lagers to the more exciting sours and IPAs. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food
Great range of inhouse brewed beers on tap, about 8 ranging from a red IPA to a fruity pale ale. Live music. Trendy outdated decor sets a comfortable ambience, and is a place to come for a few beers with mates and family. Pop-up style food van parked outside if you need a bit to eat.
