Unfortunately never thought I would be unhappy with the service at Whaler's. Attended for happy hour and had also booked to stay for dinner. Usually when happy hour finishes at 6.00pm the girls come around the tables asking if you are staying on for dinner. When you say you are, cutlery and a menu are brought to your table almost instantaneously. Last night no person asked if we were staying for dinner, no cutlery or menu was presented. After 15 minutes asked for cutlery and a menu - was told there only had 20 menus and one would be given to us when available. In the meantime three couples arrived, were seated and were presented with menus straight away. After another 15 minutes finally managed to obtain a menu and ordered - garlic bread to see us through until the mains arrived. 25 minutes later still waiting for garlic bread (the other three couples had already starting eating their meals) - husband went to check on food and was told everything would be coming out shortly - all this occurred in the one and a bit hours after happy hour had finished and even though it was busy (as it always is) never had this issue before - ordering and obtaining meals were always quite quick. We were also told that we didn't "check in" for dinner - never had to do that before as I booked over the phone and it also had it written on the reservation slip on the table that we were. Sad to say we had to cancel our meal as we had other arrangements made for after dinner and were already running behind and also sad that management didn't really seem to care.

Gorgeous views of encounter bay. Amazing food. Go to Victor harbour just for a meal and you won't be disappointed. Thursday nights are happy hour from 5-6. Full menu other nights.

Loved eating here. Great spot with amazing views. Breakfast was great and has GF options. Definitely go back.

Our lunch here was the amazing seafood platter for 2, delicious. Service was warm and efficient. A hidden gem.

My husband says his barramundi was delicious and my fillet steak (med rare) was delicious also. We recommend this restaurant unreservedly.

Went here for the first time. Was very dissapointed with our meals. Ordered a chicken schnitzel Kirkpatrick. It tasted like burnt chutney. Also ordered a beef curry which had 3 little pieces of beef in it, beef schnitzel that was as thin as paper and a dry chicken schnitzel with tablespoon of mushroom gravy. None of us were particularly happy with our meals. One of us thought the schnitzel tasted like rubber and overcooked. We were expecting a fancy meal considering the prices and 47 min wait. Wont be returning!

Quality food and ingredients. Friendly staff layed back atmosphere overlooking the beautiful Encounter Bay, Wright Island.

Lovely food and great service the only problem was finding parking, in saying that will be going back again

I made a request for whiting to be grilled I should have complained at the time but I now realised it would have been only steamed no crispy skin and was tough to eat.

Excellent place for a quiet coffee either indoor or outdoor. Lovely views overlooking Granite Island and the harbor.

Had a lovely waitress today who totally copped awaesinecwheh our daughter got sick everywhere! Made us feel comfortable and got us cleaning stuff without a fuss!

I visit regularly and Always have the greatest Food and Coffee.
The Scenery and location is really nice. Add in the Awesome people that are running The Show. What Can I say 5 Star from me.

The food was great I order fish of the day which was whiting but the fish had lots of bones in it I told the waitress but she didn’t get back to me or anything at all kind of disappointed about it

Had Dinner and Breakfast here, both meals great size and fulfilling. Great friendly service and atmosphere.would definitely recommend

Had a lovely coffee and the lemon slice was delicious! Great spot to go before a walk out to the bluff, or after.

Wow, real home made desserts apple pie crispy and wholesum, lamb rump roast full of flavour, and yes real lamb meat. Good to see real food and the staff were great the coffee was great the window scenery was superb looking out over the coastline, overall I am comming again was worth a nice drive out relaxing while having a bite.

Friendly staff and fresh, delicious food but expensive. That is the norm now though. Well worth a visit, still.
