Curiously, my review of this service from roughly three years ago has disappeared but the memories of being there remains. In a nutshell, this facility is the embodiment of what is wrong with the state of bulk-billed mental health services in Australia. When people are forced to choose between expensive private mental health care and extraordinarily poor public mental health care, what can they do?

And yet they wonder why more and more people, young and old alike, are taking their own lives each year.

I had a great experience with one of the doctors here and had every intention of leaving a 5 star review, unfortunately due to the nature of public health services, my doctor was rotated out. The replacing doctor seemed to lack general people skills, was condescending, and offered no help whatsoever. Not only was the appointment a complete waste of time but it was extremely uncomfortable having to sit opposite them whilst they listed off generic “advice” in a patronising tone followed by extended periods of silence and prolonged eye contact. I couldn’t tell whether they were just inexperienced, socially inept, or simply unhappy with their job… 0/10 would not recommend.

Forced to get the depot injection every fortnight by a doctor that was born and raised in a communist country on $100k pa and they won't give me a food voucher

Just parasites leeching off our broken health system!

If your doctor wants to refer you to this place then either, ask to be sent elsewhere to a competent mental health service, or just put yourself out of your misery RIGHT NOW.
Because this place has zero care factor and staff with very poor atitudes.
They make you feel like your a burden on them.

Bulk billing mental health services are a joke.
Go private if you can get the money to do so because at least that way you will get access to professionals and not cowboys like these.

I couldn't agree more with the other negative reviews. This place doesn't even deserve the mandatory one star!

The best psychiatrists are private. Their patients are the least likely to occupy expensive acute care mental health ward beds. The patients who take up the vast majority of these beds receive public psychiatry.

Writing a review as a supporter of someone who accessed their services because I’m completely in dismay and disgusted at how a service positioned to be providing mental health support can be so dismissive, degrading and detrimental to people’s mental health.

The staff lack knowledge and clarity, wasting people’s time and draining energy at a time when people need critical access to life saving help. They create confusion and frustration, as well as being rude and dismissive - I agree with another review this service is so unprofessional that it’s dangerous.

A staff member today - a mental health worker - mocked a client when they were in ear shot, leading them to spiral after their appointment. They would have been better off had they not set foot in this service. How worrying to think these are the attitudes of people employed to provide support to some of the most vulnerable in the community. And what a complete and utter waste of such critical resources for what should be proving crucial services.

Unfortunately I have to agree with many others. Lots of rethoric but short on tangible compassion. Not appropriately staffed in numbers and experience.

Unprofessional staff who do not do the bare minimum of doing what they said they would do or in the time frame they said they would do it. All talk and no action. You won't get any help here.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Poor staff but more importantly poor clients who has to deal with such incompetency and unprofessionalism. Look at the other reviews and see that this place won't help you - it'll just hinder you.

If someone suggests you go to this place, ask them to send you elsewhere immediately. You'll only waste precious time dealing with supposed 'experts' whose wisdom and empathy are equal to that of a rock.

DO NOT WASTE YA TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEIR CARE FACTOR IS ZERO. I HAVE PERSONALLY CALLED THEM TO SPEAK TO THE TWO PEOPLE WHO WERE SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKING AFTER ME BUT IN MY ATTEMPTS OVER A TWO YEAR PERIOD I NEVER ONCE RECEIVED ANY CALL BACKS WHEN I NEEDED HELP. I ENDED UP GETTING PUT INTO THE KRAMAN UNIT AT THE QEH ON A FEW OCCASIONS THANKS TO THESE PEOPLE THAT I BELIEVE DO NOT CARE FACTOR TOWARDS MYSELF ESPECIALLY. THATS MY PERSONAL OPINION AND I DON’T CARE ABOUT WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS ABOUT MY COMMENT DUE TO ITS MY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE PEOPLE. PEACE BARNZEE

Absolutely useless and dangerous service. "Mandy" has horrible phone manner and made us feel as if we were an inconvenience to them.
After spending almost 1.5 hours on the phone to the triage line last night, and being told we would be contacted today for an appointment/assessment from the team Mandy called, and referred us back to the GP for a mental health care plan.
She clearly did not read the notes as we had discussed that a mental health care plan had been made, however due to the clinics psychology team being overloaded were not taking new patients and we had had no luck finding someone on our own over months of trying due to the same reasons.
The call was made due to significant crisis, and to receive this response, to be told to go back to the GP when they have done everything they can.
They do not understand that the system if flawed and does not work the way they are trained to believe it is. The system is broken.
Mandy offered an appointment with the acute team today however was very passive aggressive and rude about it.
Why would someone want to go see them when that is the attitude you get after seeking help in crisis, making a difficult long call, where you explain everything and then they ignore what you've told them.
Mandy had a tone and attitude from the very beginning of the call, made us feel as if this was all too much of an inconvenience.
They don't even deserve the mandatory one star.
What is the point of this service when they are actively harming people trying to seek help?

Staff cancelled my appointment the morning of due to an error on their part that I had waited months for. Told me I wouldn’t be able to make an appointment until April. Not coming back, bulk billing isn’t worth the incompetence.
