Welcome Inn 277 Motel

Horrible service. Horrible staff. Showers flood the bathrooms and sometimes the rooms. Half the lights have had bulbs removed. The cleaner touches things that are personal and only partially cleans every few days. Often you are left without a towel and they remove pillows and blankets and some how manage to forget to return them. Often cleaning gloves and dirty cloths are left behind. Large coacroaches call it home. Broken beds on wheels that move around the room. No privacy at all as unless you are there and chain latch your door as they believe they have the right to just walk in. Rude guests are often in and out and if you go more then 2 days without seeing the police then that's a mere mirical. I could go on but it's not worth it

And if you want to be kept awake all nigjt by long term crack head tenants
The shower was horrible with water being unable to be contained in the shower area and it spilt all over the bathroom making everything wet

Would give a minus 5 if I could, this is the worst place I have ever stayed, read the other reviews and avoid this place like the plauge, the room had fumes so strong it was causing us headaches had to leave the window open all night, there was painting done in the room while we weren't there, the night worker was beyond rude he was intolerable and we had a glass thrown at our door and they didn't even want to clean up the glass, not ideal for children, our one and a half year old son hated it there. Had to make a do not disturb sign so the cleaner wouldn't come in and make our room smell like chemicals. So invasive, cheap and nasty, no regard for the privacy of guests, and just all round shady, there are places far better within a 10 minute walk, just go there instead.
Take your family somewhere better, they deserve better.

Cancelled our room on us when we were half way to Adelaide, not impressed, said would sort another accommodation but never, not impressed!

The location is good and the rooms are small but serviceable but what ever they clean the room with is not liveable. From the moment we walked in it had this sickly over powering smell of washing powder like someone had spilled it on everything. We needed to leave the room. After having to sleep overnight we all woke up with headaches. They really need to do something about this to make this an enjoyable stay.

Appaling, false advertising, add claimed there was alfresco bbq area so purchased a heap of meat only to find on arrival there was no bbq. Booked a 2 bedroom "apartment" which turned out to be 2 standard rooms (which are poorly maintained) with a dividing door opened, no hot water in what can barely even be called a bathroom. Will not be returning.

Booked a double bed and single bed room for my daughter and I, on arrival was told they only had a family room with bunkbed where there was no room inbetween beds the double bed was right next to bunkbed.
The room smelt had to spray deodorant to try hide the lingering smell.
On a very noisy street where you hear all the traffic.
The aircon was so noisy thought it was going to fall out of wall with big bangs everytime it turned on amd off.
Beds uncomfortable.
Tv remote was dodgy asked for help with tv and got told i probably have it on radio which was not the case.

Polite and courteous staff, good price, clean and comfortable room, completely satisfied and will stay there again.

Really comfy bed but paint chipped off the chairs inside, bathroom was absolutely tiny and had a weird odour. For the same price, Frewville Motor Inn around the corner is a lot nicer. Just really needs a refresh.

117 a night.close to shops.average rooms.stingy with the coffee and sugar sachets though. (was only offered 3 of each a day.and had to ask). Only had free to air tv.no chairs outside of rooms (for smokers)

We stayed for 10 days fantastic service the owner was very helpful couldn’t be more happier.

Motel services are poor, not friendly and helpful staff. I should have been found better than this motel to stay in but unfortunately, I booked this one and now regretting booking.

We've now stayed at the welcome inn 277 about half a dozen times, so it's finally time to leave a review.

Rooms are clean, has everything you need, and a bit roomier than most motel rooms in this area (many of which we've also stayed at).

Shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, handwash etc are provided, saves packing them (we always forget in any case).

Check-in & out is a breeze, and late check-ins are easily accommodated.

Price is good value, and location is an easy 7-minute drive to the central market.

Highly recommended.

Rooms here have everything you need. Clean, convenient location. About 10mins to the cbd. Owners were very accommodating towards our late check-in time. Good wifi. Would consider staying again.

Absolutely disgusted with the treatment i received when trying to book in here, was refused the room key due to no I. D Despite having the booking confirmation email and the proof of payment not to mention the contact number he rang was mine (apparently none of the above was efficient)
He then went into the back office to make a not so quiet phone call about me "allegedly being a guest".
Was a great end to a long day with an exhausted 13 year old.
Once I had jumped though his numerous hoops trying to prove who I was, I was finally allowed the key (40 minutes later) I was again disappointed the room was just ok the noise from outside was terrible, people talking in the courtyard may as well have been in our room, the air conditioner didn't work and there was exposed wires coming out of the exhaust fan in the bathroom.
As for the breakfast we were not offered any nor was there breakfast sheets supplied in the room.
On leaving the following morning my husband had spoken to reception on the treatment i received on check in (he was broken down on check in) we received a harassing phone call from the owner stating it was " our fault for not having I. D" and was extremely rude.
They had advised booking.com that we hadn't arrived on check in to try and avoid a bad review.

I would not recommend this place to anyone nor would I ever stay here again!

The room is clean and amazing with affordable price (even when we stay during public holiday). The breakfast was delivered to my room and taste lovely.

Bad hotel I never stay before. Can hear the noise even from upstairs, not to say the noise from next room. Even the room itself has noisy air conditioning

Unassuming motel but very adequate for solo travellers or couples. Main room is modern and spacious but bathrooms are small and dated. A big plus is the restaurants with Italian, Steak and Indian all just across the road plus several Asian places down the road but within walking distance. Supermarket nearby as well. On bus route to city.only 10 mins away.

Previously I gave one start review due to the multiple issues I had there. Now I am changing it to 5 as the manager itself came down and acknowledged all the issues I had and assured me to resolve and even apologised. I had prepayment issue, Aircon issue, reception staff issue etc. In the end all went well so not much to complaint.
