Weeroona Hotel reviews
36We were going to have lunch but decided not to as we found the woman behind the bar to be extremely rude, we got the feeling we were interrupting her chat with her regulars/locals.
Nice meals - my rump was overcooked, but the seafood sauce was very tasty. Corned beef was enjoyed, the scotch fillet was well cooked & the seafood basket were all enjoyed.
Had dinner for 4 in the dining room.
Waitress took our order and money at the table. Generous, tasty meals delivered in fair time.
We had forgotten what it was like to be served as most meals we have encountered on our travels have been order at the counter, take a buzzer then collect meal when read.
A well run country pub with great food. Will definitely return when we are in the area again.
Pleasantly surprised with this quaint little hotel. Food was amazing. Very good value for money. Definately come back again.
Pup grub at its best!
Order T bone steak with veg and mushroom gravy.
Cooked to perfection, best T bone had for very longtime
Best country pub meals on YP. Nice people, friendly atmosphere. Great value. Great place for family celebrations!
This place is awsome and friendly staff. Food was amazing and great priced and big portions. I had the marinated kangaroo steak which was cooked perfectly, could cut through it with a spoon
Second time there and both times found the food great quality, size and good value for money. Definitely stopping there for a meal when visiting Wallaroo.
We live out of town but when in Wallaroo, we visit Weeroona Hotel purely because of the quality of the meals.
Sone of best hotel meals we have come across.
The portion of potato bake the comes with the vegetables is something special.
What a great meal. Had the mixed grill and every mouthful was a treat.
Wife had the special, crumbed pork chops which was 2 very generous chops. Will be back.
Best pub meal we have had for a long time. We go pub every second night on our travels, so been to a few! All freshly cooked, good salad. We had whiting and seafood basket, delicious. Chef said rissoles are very good! Maybe next time! Good service and prices as well. Very near the beachfront caravan park.
Historical hotel in Wallaroo. Food is the big draw here. It's on the excellent scale for pubs. Large serves with fresh and tasty sides. Cooked to perfection and served by pleasant and friendly staff.
My slight detraction is there is zero craft beer and a limited white wine selection.
Exterior could do with some tlc. Interior is quaint and retains a lot of it historical character.
Well worth a visit if your on the northern Yorke Peninsula.
Recommended.
Cheers, Q.
Had the 2 piece butterfish take away pack, fish was good salad was OK, wasn't a great lot of it, only thing the chips were Soggiebut came with bread and a slice of lemon and a sasha of tartar sauce, price $20.00
Walked into the bar to just stares.bar lady eventually says.dont bother if you want a meal, were full. But go thru if u want. So we did.there was a table free, but the staff was also rude. There was not one vegetarian meal available. Other meals quite pricey. We left and went to the other pub and were greeted warmly, meal was lovely. And 2 different vegie meals available. We were just after a basic pub meal.
Visited recently after 23 years since last going there and it was pleasantly nostalgic, friendly man serving behind the bar happy to chat- only complaint is that the dining room where the pool table is was hot and stuffy with little to no air con and felt like our game interrupted couples lunch date, pool table didn't return the white ball either but that was a blessing because i lost the game tremendously.
Clean and tidy service was good toilet not Cleary signed if I didn't ask would've taken a bit to find them all in all it was ok beer was cold
Great, friendly staff. Excellent value for money meals which were very tasty. The grandkids were treated well.
A very good meal. Can recommend the rissoles with bacon, chips and salad. The wife had Pork snitzel with hot veggies, also can recommend. We will be back.
The service was friendly, the food is good and the atmosphere is exactly what a good country town pub should be. The menu has a lot of variety and the servings are very generous. I recommend highly.
Not much from the outside but the food was fantastic and plentiful. The staff are really helpful and friendly.
